So last week I decided to start an Islander and am having fun so far although the levels start to stretch out when the most xp is coming from a lvl7 pig and you need to kill 2000 of them for a level! It takes serious dedication to get into the 50's or 60's and beyond that must take forever! Anyway, back to the questions. As far as I know there are no capes available on the island and therefore all the scrolls for capes are useless to me and I might as well give them to people who are headed for Victoria Island? Are there any quests that are available other than the ones everybody sees? I did the quest for 200 orange mushroom caps that rewards with the cosmetic coupon but I've not seen anything since then. I've been training in the pig map that you get to via the map at the right hand end of Amehurst (sorry, at work without access to maps/names), I don't think there is anywhere better than that is there?
You can get Maple Cape from one of the events. Hold onto your scrolls, their will often be events which release items available for islanders. You might want to send overall dex off island though, since I'm not sure of any overalls that will be coming to the island any time soon.
Like said above at anniversary event you can get the maple cape! As far as training the pigs map is the best for solo exp but a lot of us choose dangerous forest over by southperry because they drop white gomushins and 10% shoes for jump scrolls! Adds a little bit of excitement to the grind.
Ah, I didn't know about the cape - that could be very handy! I'll try dangerous forest for some shoes & scrolls, would be good to land a couple of 10% scrolls on a pair. Currently have +13 speed maplemas lights and white gomushins that I think are +5 jump and +2 speed so I'm a nippy little islander
