    Note: Items dropped on the tree are returned upon leaving the map and are ONLY able to picked up by the person who drops them!
    1. Most Creative Tree: Self explanatory! Be as creative as you can with whatever your little heart desires.
    2. Guild Tree: Get together with your guild and decorate a tree and show off your guild pride!
    3. MapleRoyals Themed Tree: Maple leaf? Yellow Text!? Matt?!?! Make a tree showing your love for MapleRoyals.
    4. GM Tree: Decorate a tree and explain why the tree, items, or theme represent the GM's of MapleRoyals.
    5. People's Choice Tree: ALL entries are eligible to win this category, and voting will start as soon as the event ends. Entering in ANY category enters your tree for this one. The Christmas Tree with the highest number of votes by the community wins 1st place. Voting will commence after submission deadline is over.

    1. Head out and find Rooney to be teleported to Happyville.
    2. Talk to Rudi to buy some Christmas Ornaments.
    3. Speak to Branch Snowman to be teleported to either room 1 to 5 or,
    4. Straw Hat Snowman to be teleported to either rooms 6 to 10.
    Note: Only Christmas tree in rooms 1 - 10 of either channels in Happyville (except islanders) are eligible for this contest. For Islanders, Please head to Amherst Town to decorate your Christmas tree.

    Event Winning Clarifications
    • Participants may enter all categories but can only submit 1 entry per category.
    • Participating in all categories only increases your chances of winning. Participants are not eligible to redeem more than one set of prizes.
    Rules & Regulations
    1. Participants may enter all categories but can only submit 1 entry per category.
    2. Participants are not eligible to redeem more than one set of prizes.
    3. Participants may edit their post at any point of time before the submission deadline.
    4. Participants not in the same guild will be disqualified in the Guild Tree category.
    5. Each guild may only submit 1 entry for the Guild Tree category.
    6. Incomplete submission, edited screenshot or reserving post will be disqualified.
    7. To be eligible to win, participants must submit all entries in this thread.
    8. Only screenshots of decorated Christmas tree from Hill of Christmas are allowed for non islanders.
    9. MapleRoyals will not be held responsible for any item(s) lost in the process of decorating the Christmas tree.
    10. Choice of chair does not include out-of-bounds chairs (e.g. Mudkip Chair or Pink Bean Chair) or broken chairs. Note that not all chairs are always available, and it's up to the staff to decide which are and which aren't.
    11. Rude, unlawful, harassing, vulgar, obscene, hateful, threatening or otherwise offensive submissions will be immediately disqualified and may face punishment according to MapleRoyal's Terms & Conditions.
    12. The staff's decision will be final and binding.
    13. MapleRoyals reserve the rights to make any changes to the above-mentioned without any prior notice.

    Submissions are accepted till: 15th of January, 2021
    Winners will be announced on: 1st of February, 2021

    Explanation for our Tree

    This year my teammates and I decided to illustrate the expectations (right tree) versus reality (left tree) of winning a popular, high stake GM event called Russian Roulette on MapleRoyals. We understand that GM Events should not be taken for granted since Staff sacrifices their valuable time to bring the community together and to have some fun. In our screenshot we have one team member using a chalkboard acting as the “GM” preparing to host the event, and the five other players as the event participants. They are F4ing with the Puppet Strings NX cape to show that they are "seduced" by the GM!

    It is known that the current GMs hosting Russian Roulette don’t like to give prizes with high monetary value, which is totally okay since prizes are given under GM discretion and events are just for fun anyways. This is basically shown on the left tree with how we decided to decorate/depict it. On the flip side, previous Russian Roulette hosters (ex-GMs) liked to reward players for winning this high stake event to increase player satisfaction, as many players continually anticipate and come back to future events for more chances to win! We decided to decorate the right tree with high monetary value prizes to further show this.

    Again as a team, we would like to thank all the current and past GM’s for their hard work moderating MapleRoyals, while dedicating their time to occasionally hosting GM events; whether it would be Russian Roulette, Ola Ola, Coconut Harvest, Fitness, or etc.
