Hey guys what second languages do you guys speak? Only English here sadly but hope to change that soon and start to learn something
As for me, 1st language - English (American) 2nd language - Spanish 3rd language - Japanese I feel speaking other languages is fun to do plus it sharpens your mind and increases your ability to learn in general. I had a great time in Spain+Japan with the locals primarily because I was able to communicate well with them knowing the histories/languages of the countries along with nihongo wordplay. You should totally pick any language of interest and learn it via class/travel.
Swedish (native) English (fluent) Spanish (advanced) Portuguese (basic) German (basic) Esperanto (advanced/fluent) Latin (intermediate, it's not really spoken though) And I understand spoken Danish and Norwegian, as well as a lot of written Dutch. I think that's all. Hoping to improve my German and Portuguese, and learn some French and Russian in the future.
I can speak (or fail at speaking..) English--Native Spanish--passable (I'm forgetting more as time goes on..) Chinese--basic French--fail-level (I'm just starting now so...maybe someday...?)
1. American English 2. British English 3. Spanish (like Faye, had several years worth of education but it's fading as I stopped learning it 4 years ago).
Norwegian - Native English - Fluent Swedish - Almost fluent Danish - Almost fluent German - Meh, yes to a point
English - Fluent Hebrew - Fluent Spanish - Used to be friggin fluent until I never spoke it and now I understand but sound like a whale when I attempt to talk :') French - I can say 'I can't speak french' also french fries & french toast I also have an Italian nationality yet pizza pasta and gellato is like all I can do (y)
Hey this looks like a fun post I tend to tickle my tongue at the thought of a titillating transfer of tasteful talks about things. -> I'm a fan of English, I speak it often. As it's my primary language. German < 50 words Spanish < 500 words French < 1500 words I speak Java very well, along with PHP, HTML, AS2, and some C. :3 I think I'm winning! I'm not cheating.. I plan on becoming fluent in German, as I'm part German. Perchance even learning whatever Irish folk speak. And fluent in Spanish and French seem necessary.
Canadian English - Fluent Chinese (Mandarin) - Iffy Chinese (Cantonese) - Iffy French - Semi-fluent Thug - Fluent 1nt3rn3+ - F|u3n+ Spanish - about 4 phrases Dutch - 4 words. German - 1 phrase Korean - 2 or 3 words #Hashtag (#twitterlingo) -#sofluent #likeomg #sopro
