I recently moved onto my campus and reside within their dormitory. I am connected via Ethernet cable into the ports provided by the school. When logging onto my character, I reach the part where I double click my character and the *chime* sounds occur implying I'm about to log in game, however, my character continues walking in the character selection screen and this simply continues until I have to exit out of the game. I have tried using the University wifi as well but have only ended with the same results. I know for a fact that it is not my anti-virus or firewall that is preventing my log-on as I can successfully log-on at a local Starbucks and back in my hometown. Any help is appreciated, many thanks!
How are your internet speeds over there at your University? I have that issue over at a friends house, where the internet just isnt strong enough to connect.
My down speeds are 260 mb/s, up speeds are 336 mb/s. I have tried logging on my mule but same results.
For the sake of clarity, I am also running Windows 7 Professional 64bit. And have ran everything as "run as administrator". Thanks again!
I'll try logging on to your account now to see if it works for me. Edit: Yeah, it works fine for me... Investigating... Edit2: No bans on the account, it is probably a firewall or port issue on your university network. If that's the case there's not a lot you can do about it I'm afraid.
Ah ok, thanks for trying. I suppose I'll talk to the network administrator on campus about unblocking this certain port. Is there a specific port number I should mention? Because League of Legends works fine as far as "popular" video games go.
