THE MAIN REASON OF POSTING THIS, IS TO SEEK FOR CLARIFICATION REGARDING MAPOWNER ISSUE. AM I THE PERSON WHO COMMIT FAULT?? THE SCENARIO: I was surfing channel to channel in ULU II for self leeching about half an hour. And finally, I found a map with 3 man hanging. Initially, I typed ~mapowner and the map was not owned by anyone. Then, I even asked if anyone here and I got no replies either. Therefore, I brought my mules and continue my HAPPY leech. After 15min, a person with IGN: Mephibosheth (EX-map leech seller), asking me to leave as he done from afk-ing while his sellers afk-ing. So, I typed: ~mapowner and the map is confirmed owned by me which was shown on the provided images. The seller ignored it and keep flushed me out with disrespectful wordings. I tolerated his ungenerous behavior and insulting wordings, and providing him solutions: 1. Request your buyers to a new channels OR 2. Find a unowned channel for me so I move there if your buyers still afk They (buyers and seller) said I am in-courteous, greedy, naive? Okay, I kept my voice at that moment and seek for clarification in forum then. (Man, I was surfing channels just to level up my mules, which took me half an hour to seek for. If I am the one who was inconsiderate to others, who are the one take my beset into account?) Hence, I would like to seek for clarification from GM regarding mapowner issue but not challenging others. Did I break the rules? Thank you
The rules will always favor the player who retains map ownership via the ~mapowner command. As for your issues with the other player, please refer to the Community Blacklist or the Report Abuse section instead. Thank you.
You did nothing wrong in this case, however the whole ~mapowner thing is a load of crap as it allows someone to own multiple channels at say Lyka, by switching between them and attacking... Completely unfair but so it's just the way it is...
I can empathize with the frustration since I've met countless players with similar attitudes ever since I joined. You took ownership of that map fair and square, abiding by the T&C of the server. The previous owner of that map probably never read the rules thoroughly (just like the majority of the player base) or he/she's just being grumpy despite knowing the regulation. This won't be the last time you encounter people like that. Next time, if you find yourself in a similar situation with the previous map owners continuing to harass you, reply along this line. "I have the ownership of this map and you are interfering with my gameplay. Please leave the map" If they refuse to leave (unless they afk quietly), you have the right to report them. Take a recording with ~servertime and ~mapowner commands to provide evidential material then submit it in the report.
Hello~ You did nothing wrong and I would like to apologize on behalf of Snack for your interaction with Mephibosheth. They had no right to be rude as you found that map fair and square (not that anyone should be rude at all in the first place). He has been removed from the guild upon seeing these screenshots. First of all, I would like to thank you for all the replies, you all have banished my doubt regarding the issue. I would not take any actions on either report/blacklist on the persons involved as I just intended to seek for rules' clarification but not create further argument and abomination.
