Haha yeah bro! No more excuses for bad weather or coming home too late. Frustrating on how much strength I’ve lost, but excited to be back on the grind

I used to work out 14 hours a week back in my early twenties, it became an obsession at one point.
It dabbed down in my mid twenties though due to depression, alcoholism and drugs. Turned my life around in my late twenties and nowadays I make it a pledge to take a walk every day if I can and I throw in random pushups here and there. I got some gym equipment at home and now focus more on looking like a person that at least cares about themselves. Also another driving factor for me is that I abhor the thought of looking old. I guess I'm still in a place where growing old is nice, but my soul isn't quite ready for it haha.

My personal advice to anyone wanting to exercise for whatever reason is to just do what you feel comfortable with, try set a small routine. Whether that is walking for 30mins-1hr a day, shoveling snow, doing push ups or squats. Anything > nothing. Also diet. I never cut out energy drinks as I'm obsessed with it. But back in my early twenties I was more cautious of what I ate and rather ate using smaller plates to make them look more fulfilling. Tricking your mind to lay off overeating or savory sweets at odd hours will take you almost as far, if not sometimes further than the exercise itself depending on your goals.

There's many ways to exercise, it doesn't have to be exhausting. The key is to just stay active. And ultimately, in the end you're tired but you'll have this feeling of accomplishment lingering over you, a feeling of pride for pushing yourself to do something.

Very interesting thread, I wish I wasn't shy to share a bit of my experience with weightlifting. I'm 25 now and I started with 15. I've been trough a lot along these years, wasn't easy at all but I think I can tell that I've accomplished a pretty solid health, also I'm a bit big haha. Was bigger in the past, achieved 117 kgs with 8% body fat, now I'm sitting on 107-108's. Gotta love the sport, love the process of cooking (its very important to cook your own food), dieting, lifting everyday like it was is ur last. Finding consistency might be very hard in the beginning but once u get in rhythm and start seeing the results u start to love the process. And what is life if not a long ass learning process? the day you stop learning u stop living. This sport was my cure from depression, I legit almost died because of that curse. And now, it gives me extra boost for everything, for studying, for work, interpersonal relationships of all kinds u can imagine and overall helped with my confidence. I also helped a lot of royals friends in the past with diet and fitness tips, damn, time flies. If you are natural or if you take hormones the process is the same, don't think u can take all kind of shit and that u gonna be a superman on the next day though. My only 3 advices for the starters would be, stay natty, train properly focusing on contraction and learn to cook ur own food haha.
@Jiun looking foward for a training session with you ez
