Hello there! I am not entirely sure whether or not this has been suggested before, and yes this is partly-because I was banned for this reason, but have you guys ever thought of doing some sort of chat ban or typing ban for people who break the rules surrounding excessive swearing and profanity and things like that? Although the ban let me get a lot of studying done, I don't plan on making the same mistakes, but other good (usually) maple citizens might appreciate it! Maybe for first time offenders? Just a thought. Buddha
If temporary muting was an option I don't see any reason why they wouldn't use it way more often for people who may not fully deserve a ban...
It depends a bit in what context you'd swear in I guess. If you're just chatting with someone and you swear I don't think bans should be handed out. If you swear directly at people in order to flame/harass them I'd agree with a short temp ban.
