Depending on your luk stat and attack, your triple throw damage will differ. Luk and attack contribute differently, but we can calculate how much luk is equivalent to 1 attack by calculating LUK/attack (read more here). Let's say you have 1172 luk, 112 dex and 280 attack after stars and onyx apple but without wearing any pendant. Let's also assume we are using a craven. If you wear a 28dex/28 luk htp, you would now have 1200 luk, 140dex and 240 attack. According to the formula, LUK/attack = 1200/280= 4.2871. So 4.2871 stat is worth 1 attack and your htp is worth 13.062 attack. Now, let's wear a 10dex/10luk/8attack mon. We need to reset dex to wear our craven, so our final stat will be 1164 luk, 140dex, 288 attack. In this case, LUK/attack = 1164/288 = 4.0417 and the mon is worth 8attack + 20stat/4.0417 = 12.948 attack. So in this case, the 28/28 htp is better than the mon. It will depend your stats and funding. You could also cs the HTP and get more stats, so it might be much better. I think MON is the best choice for most people though. 1. MON performs better at lower funding (because of less attack from cape, glove, shoes, claw) 2. MON performs better with no or weaker attack pots. I'm too poor to use apple and energizer is my favourite potion. Heartstoppers is probably the main pot of choice for regular bossing too? 3. A 28/28 htp is only slightly better? Unless you cs the htp, the htp isn't significantly better. 4. Well funded players would eventually get a completed auf helm and that would give them excess dex. There are other factors to consider. Do you prefer the defense and avoid from htp or the 300 hp from MON? I think the ~40avoid from HTP should provide ~2% more avoid, from about ~70% miss rate to ~72% miss rate.
