The PQ might be intended to just be a pretty casual fun thing but there is hidden competitiveness because there is a win/lose component. With the hidden competitiveness, everyone wants to have a chance to win and get as much eggs as possible. However, range players (archers/thieves) do get an upperhand in this PQ due to its attack speed and range advantage. From experience and witnesses, melee with fruit knife, can get low to mid 7x eggs at most then range (archers/thieves) can get somewhere in 8-9x eggs. That is 10 to 20 eggs difference. Not to mention, you can potentially get ksed and lose time in hunting eggs since you have to move somewhere else for that person. p.s. speaking up for my melee family
Absolute worst type of players are those then who even purposely hit just enough (>50%) to deny you looting eggs after killing them. Usually happens on the lower platforms these people have. They get the monsters' low enough and move to and clear upper platforms and meanwhile if someone came to lower platform and killed them off they jump down immediately and loot the eggs. You can't really even move to their upper platforms either because usually they've already brought those monsters' hp down enough in the meantime as well. Against rules? No, but still extremely distasteful even if it's a mechanic to secure wins.
