After seeing so many positive reactions from recent events, I thought it'd be best if we have a thread where we can come together to provide positive feedback. These thoughts have been accumulating over months, but I never really had time to write due to exams. Easter Event The Egg PQ was quite enjoyable, and really gave players a reason to participate by removing the fear of no reward through a loss, and instead rewarded a bonus for a win. The event shop items, as well as the rewards from hatching the egg (I always got a duck, hella salty btw) were top tier, from the NX equips to the chairs. This is exactly what I love to see from event cosmetics. Anniversary Event I don't believe there is a single person that has anything bad to say about the Maple Tree PQ. This PQ is definitely a home run. It combines all the defining elements of a MapleStory party quest and provides them in small chunks. We are well into the event season, and the PQ has yet to feel like a chore. Including the maple leaf face accessories and tokens of teamwork was a great decision. Furthermore, the cash pendant is a great addition given that it can be made to last nearly a year! This can serve as a test for future content that may involve a permanent cash pendant, in my opinion. Initially, I disliked the idea of entrance tickets for Maple Hill. However, one of my main disappointments last year was dcing in Maple Hill after spending 100 shines as an entrance fee. I suppose tradeable shines alleviates that issue, but nonetheless a positive change. I do miss the benefit of the mandatory donation (entrance fee), though. Tradeable candles and shines are awesome! I'm happy that noobs can make a little cash, and more advanced players can get as many earrings as they please. This is a clear indication that feedback has been listened to. Mushroom Shrine Teleport This is my favorite update by far. Walking through shrine used to feel like an eternity, but adding this teleport is a godsend. HP Gains Steps are being taken to allow more unwashed players to step into the bossing arena. I'm optimistic that more feedback will be listened to, and we'll see more positive change. Security Finally, I'd like to extend my thanks for the way the security fiasco back in February was handled. In my opinion, it was handled in the quickest and best way possible, especially given the difficulty/complication of the situation and that it was no fault of Royals. I am grateful for all the security options we have available, and that our account security is clearly taken seriously. I was not personally affected, and I sympathize with those that still are. Forum mods (and @Hae hehe), you are not forgotten. Thanks for keeping the forums/discord organized and being truly helpful players. It is often easy to criticize. I hope some of you will join me in providing some positive feedback, as it is beneficial to encourage what we'd like to see more of. Thank you for reading .
I'm sorry you feel this way. Fortunately this was not my experience a vast majority of the time. I was ksed maybe once or twice, but overall the majority of players respected platform boundaries and were cooperative.
I had a lot of fun with the easter event and was able to get a cool nx weapon sceptre out of it. Never experienced any toxicity in all my games there though I did feel that it was a little unfair for melee classes. Anniversary event was well planned too. I think the Glorious Maple Hill really brought people together where we could just step away from the competitive bossing scene and just have a conversation with one another while waiting for the tree to explode. Plus the ticket is literally free from event party quest. A little disheartening that I joined this server in the middle of valentines event which made it impossible for me to complete the event and get that op ring but Im sure I'll get it next year. Overall, I am very satisfied with the events thus far and the frequent olaola by Chee/Becca/Matt is an added icing to the cake. Perhaps in future events which involves player vs player modes the staff could implement a game which does not involve hitting mobs as it would be imbalanced. I suggest an event where we go in and loot as much etc as possible from a cannon that shoots it out. (Make sure there exists etcs that deduct points when looted so people dont just hold the loot button and run around) And no pets for obvious reasons.
