Just no. I dont get it, why is everyone hating so much on leechers? It was there in real MS too? It's not a bad thing, if you worked for this advantage of having a high level bishop(or bosser to do BF/anego leech) why shouldn't you be able to use them? Or even when you have alot of mula () why shouldn't you be able to buy easy leveling, and make the person that gives you leech an income... It will already be reduced alot since the xp rates are lower, so less bishops (atleast for a long time) and even when they are out there, who will leech for free? It's such a pain in the ass.. I think it's a good thing for the economy. In my opinion, it was there and it should remain so.
Whut I agree with ty absolutely. I kinda played a lot in the two weeks (way more then 4-6 hours lolol I think it's like 8 hours, maybe 10? xD I leeched Arya all the way from lvl 1-135- but for 55 of those levels I hunted Mateon Tentacles. I agree with you Jake- it was a lot faster leeching from 7x-135 :/- but I was HP washing. That's how it usually works. (also, I kind of passed you cos I zaked/bigfooted/anegoed on Arya from lvl 135-154) Literally, every day Arya had 6 billion of funds behind her..so I guess I'm more OP-ed then the average NL? Being a bishop- I'll be terribly upset if exp was nerfed. When we're level 7x-95 (cos we can only go to himes at lvl 95 ish), our exp comes from hsing someone at wolfspiders or gobies or squids. We get lesser exp then the attacker since we're just "leeching" off- but that's the gameplay style for priests. I did a full squids party/vikings party in the day, and I leveled slower then my entire party. The way I see it- leeching was OP-ed because of the crazy spawn rates, and 10x exp- which made skeles and the rest an insane way to level. Now, both are nerfed, which should end your problem. I don't se why one class should have to suffer more then it has to. Leeching was also a way of life in OldMS-it was the perk of getting a bishop to 12x. Do you want to make bishops useless (and completely horrible to play?? I.e- grind at gs2 for 20 levels more??) I can't attack wolfspiders at lvl 7x- you crazy boi Jake
imo, things like these should be discussed and (if agreed to) implemented before a giant wipe like this. Sure, I made a cleric and sure, I was planning on leeching with it. Whether that would be a char of my own or a friends', in both cases they'll be standing still most of the time. Aside from that, having the ability to leech removed with rates like these is like a free invite to quits town for me. Even though I was against it at first, even I have realized that maple without leeching is simply a bad idea.
Pretty much everyone who's complaining about bishops leeching people 1. Gotten leeched at some point and time and 2. Had a bishop to leech/hs themselves. And I'll bet you that is you put in the leech nerf, they'll complain after you put it in.
I was speaking generally, hence the "(except when she went on her crazy grinding binges)" like she did when she made her NL. That doesn't discredit my argument one bit anyway, since that was grossly taken out of context. If you guys want leeching that's fine! I was just making a suggestion I was 99% getting at self-leeching rather than making Priests useless, so please don't misconstrue what I'm saying. Also, I can dig how the lesser spawn rates will have an impact on leeching, as I never considered that. So I guess we'll just have to see how it plays out :3
