Fixed Not replicable Map & Portal HP drops on leaving Grendel's Magic Library

    Coming out of Grendel's Magic Library caused my HP to drop to what it would have been on my previous level.

    This seems to be the same bug that I encountered with Dances With Balrogs Warrior Sanctuary in the previous incarnation of the server, but I think I may have mentioned it to Matt in conversation rather than reported it.

    I cannot seem to recreate this bug but maybe you mean how with the ring you have a bonus of 100hp/mp. So when you level up or change job your hp/mp is MaxHP -100 and MaxMP -100 ?

    I am not sure if they above is a bug or not. Can anyone clarify?

    If you are wearing equips that give you HP/MP, upon levelup your HP/MP will be your base HP/MP, or MaxHP/MP - HP/MP from equips.

    Okay so there is not an issue there then, but I am yet to reproduce this bug that Kat is talking about :(

    Yeah, I do know that you only get full base hp/mp when you level up and have to recover the additional hp/mp by sitting or using pots. It isn't that.

    This bug occurs when you have just levelled up inside one of the first job places - at least for magicians, warriors and thieves. Even if you sit to recover full hp and mp before leaving the place, your hp drops on exit. Your hp drops to whatever your base hp was last level, as far as I can tell. I don't recall the mp dropping at all.

    Matt, try this to reproduce the bug:

    Go into one of the first job instructor places with a completed "Job Class' First Training" quest which will level you up when you click on the job instructor to turn the quest in. Take note of the exact amount of hp you have before lvl up. Turn the quest in, level up and sit down to recover full hp and mp. Then exit the first job place and see if your hp drops, and if so, what it drops to. (Might be also worth checking if mage's mp drops to be sure, but I don't think it does.)

    Let me know if you can reproduce the bug that way?

    ETA: Now *I* can't reproduce the bug either, but I certainly didn't imagine it, as my son had the same thing happen on his sin-to-be. Perhaps you could leave this thread open and if I (or anyone else) figures out what is going on, we can add it here.
