Updated Level: 54 Class: I/L Mage Location: Forest of Golem Percent/Hour: 480%/Hour Notes: Using Holy Symbol/Maple Warrior 10/Speed Infusion in FM/Using FM to teleport back to the top The main reason why I don't like training there is because Berserkies can stun and once you get stun, it can cause quite a chain.
Level(s): 36-37 Class: Bandit Location: Practice Field: Beginner (Mu Lung, Straw Target Dummies) Percent/Hour: 410%/Hr. (With HS - Bishop on Map) (I feel I should note this character is nicely funded; 20 Luk Robe, 16 Att Shield, etc. and I was using MW10 and Ciders)
I think you just need to pick your fights. Thanks to keeping them frozen, or staying on a different platform from the berserkies, I was only stunned on two occasions in the 30minutes I timed this, but you're correct that it did result in a chain of 5 or 6 stuns on each occasion. Maybe a loss of a minute, minute 30 out of my 30 minutes.
Level: 62 Class: I/L Mage Location: Forest of Golem Percent/Hour: 325%/Hour (4,400,000 XP) Notes: Using Holy Symbol/Maple Warrior 10/Speed Infusion in FM/Using FM to teleport back to the top Level: 64 Class: I/L Mage Location: Wolf Spider Cavern Percent/Hour: 390%/Hour (5,600,000 XP) Notes: Using Holy Symbol/Maple Warrior 10/Speed Infusion in FM/Using FM to teleport back to the top
Level: 178 Class: Night Lord Location: Temple of time Oblivion 4 Percent/Hour: 13.2%/hour (Thanks mike for the math help!) Notes: Duo with 19x hero, SE + HS mule in FM. I take bottom plat alone, he takes the rest. o4 Is better duo if you have a DPS partner that cant mob well (In our case, me as a Night lord, as TT is stronger/better than avenger. I almost 2 hit the mobs consistently- if venom worked here I would be 100% 2 hit with the slight additional DoT in between throws)
Level: 70 Class: I/L Mage Location: Wolf Spider Cavern Percent/Hour: 365%/Hour (7,500,000 XP) Notes: Using Holy Symbol/Maple Warrior 10/Speed Infusion in FM/Using FM to teleport back to the top
Level: 32 Class: Cleric Location: Land of the Wild Boar Percent/Hour: 400%/hour Notes: Using Magic Claw only Level: 32 Class: Cleric Location: Terrace Hall Percent/Hour: 375%/hour Notes: Using Magic Claw only
Level: 146 IGN/Class: F/P Arch Mage Location: Destroyed Dragon Nest Percent/Hour: 55% This gives 65.6m exp / hour. I'm somewhere between 1-shot and 2-shot on Jr. Newties, so this isn't a great reference for other mages. Jr. Newties are worse than 2hko petris, which is where I/L and some F/P should be at my damage range. However, if you can 2-shot Jr. Newties (68k HP), they would be a good option for I/L after Wolf Spiders. The positioning here is quite finicky. Too far to the left, and you get knocked off by the Jr. Newtie. Too far to the right, and you don't hit the Jr. Newtie in the bottom left (as you can see at 0:10). This sweetspot is extremely small. I actually wore violet showshoes instead of 4 int jewelry boots in order to make the sweetspot larger; many times when I got hit I would have slipped off the edge if not for the snowshoes. Indeed. Found this is about a half hour of training. Spoiler
Testing out magatia spawns. Will post more when server's back up. Level(s): 34 Class: Ice lightning wizard Location: Magatia - Lab Unit 102 (Triple Rumo/Rumo/Cube slimes) Percent/Hour: 334%/ hour Level(s): 34 Class: Ice lightning wizard Location: Magatia - Lab Unit 101 (Cube Slimes/Rumo) Percent/Hour: 236%/hour
Level(s): 35 Class: ice lightning mage Location: Sahel 1 (Scorpions) Percent/Hour: 183%/hour Level: 35 Class: Ice lightning mage Location: Sahel 2 (Sand rats/scorpions) Percent/Hour: 167%/hour Level: 35 Class: Ice lightning mage Location: Sahel 3 (Sand rat) Percent/Hour: 200%/hour Level: 35 Class: Ice lightning mage Location: Lab Area B3 (Iron Mutaes) Percent/Hour: 252%/hour Level: 35 Class: Ice lightning mage Location: Lab Area A3 (Iron Mutaes/reinforced iron mutate) Percent/Hour: 283.5%/hour (Note: I still occasionally miss on the reinforced iron mutaes and the map is large.) Level: 36 Class: Ice lightning mage Location: Lab Area B1 (Mithril mutae) Percent/Hour: 387%/hour (Note: Maple guns drop here from what I've found so far) Level: 36 Class: Ice lightning mage Location: Lab Area A1 (Reinforced/Mithril mutae) Percent/Hour: 254%/hour Level: 36 Class: Ice lightning mage Location: Lab Area C1 (Roids) Percent/Hour: 372.5%/hour (note: I still miss quite frequently on these)
Level : 130 Class: Night Lord Location: Skele main map Percent/Hour: 55% Notes: Solo but funded Before with optimal gear (I havent trained in 6 months #FM) About 40% / hour
Level: 121 Class: Ice/Lit archmage Location: Ulu estate 1 Percent/Hour: ~70%. Notes: 1 hit berserkies, 2 hit veetrons. Had HS on map that was only within leech level of berserkies. Map layout and drops are way better than wolfspiders, but stick to those until you can 1 hit veetrons. Level: 123 Class: Ice/Lit archmage Location: Wolfspiders Percent/Hour: 84% Notes: 1 hit everything. Priest leeching at top of the map. Map layout is awful, very awkward and boring. Stay here only as long as you have to. Level: 124 Class: Ice/Lit archmage Location: Ulu estate 1 Percent/Hour: 80% Notes: 1 hit everything. Put your HS on the ladder or there is a large risk of them dying. Better than wolfspiders in every way as long as you 1 hit (also better in 3rd job because you have freeze.) Level: 126 Class: Ice/Lit archmage Location: Skeles Percent/Hour: 140% Notes: 100% 2 hit everything. Had leeching priest. Level: 128 Class: Ice/Lit archmage Location: Ulu estate 2 Percent/Hour: 104% Notes: 100% 1 hit everything. Had a leeching priest - pretty lazy grind, may have been able to push this to 110% if I focused. I've made it to the last map of road of regrets - those are all awful (30-40%/hr) since they resist ice. my "to-do" list: 2 hit ulu 2 (I 50% 2 hit 50% 1 hit unbuffed) oblivion maps 2 hit petris himes anything else you can think of?
Took note of some numbers for 2 consecutive hours. *Time includes NPCing Equips & clearing of ETCs Level: 163 Class: Night Lord Location: The Dragon Nest Left Behind (Leeching 1-hit) Percent/Hour: 16.22% (1st hour: 47,806,224 EXP) 15.50% (2nd hour: 45,696,075 EXP) Level: 188 Class: Bishop Location: The Dragon Nest Left Behind Percent/Hour: 9.20% (1st hour: 102,963,760 EXP) 8.77% (2nd hour: 98,184,200 EXP)
I can already tell you that Dreamy Ghost are going to be terrible. Maybe you can try out Nest Golems seeing as you can just stand in one place and spam. Montrecers at Ulu Estate 3 is a pretty optimal place to leech from 100-105. Squids is a nice chance of pace if you're up to traveling there. Updated the main post with all new submissions and added quotes to all brackets.
I'll check out nest golems on my next leafre trip. I didnt think himes would be very good (since duoing it with a priest was slower in 3rd job than ulu 1 with my HS mule only working on berserkies) but it might be nice to compare. Im not sure how I would be able to HS myself there with no safe spots, though, so I guess I won't bother. I really wanted to try gobies, but the houses resist ice. By the time I'll 1 hit houses, I'll also 1 hit petris and skeles. Squids are probably worth a shot though. Thanks for the reminder to get a montrecer number - in five or so levels I'll expect to be 1 hitting them, so I should grab a 2 hit number right away! Also sometime when I'm feeling less lazy I'll look up the values for exp per level and convert those percentages into absolute numbers, for easier comparison.
I've leeched at Dreamy Ghost before and it was terrible. The spawn, while good for training other classes, is not enough to keep up with ultimate spell spamming. It's a shame that houses resist Ice AND Fire.
