I have already seen a discussion about this on Discord, but I think it is a good idea to implement a way to obtain a guaranteed tradable chair from chair gacha. Right now, as we know, to have a chance to get a tradable chair is to spend 2 tickets or 50M. I know the chance to get one is slim for both options, but it does not take us long to know that the rich players have more chances to get one by spending meso because there is no daily limit of the latter method as far as I know. So, what I suggest is to create a new option for which you need to use more than 2 tickets (4, 10, 20? idk), but it gives you a tradable chair 100%. Ppl want tradable chairs because they can sell them for quite a sum. Right now, there is this typical "the rich get richer" scenario and barely rewarding for poor players who spend quite a bit of time to hunt down the specific monsters (sometimes even using VIP tps) Thank you for reading!
Chair gacha does not = profit for most, doesn’t matter how rich you are. It’s gacha aka gambling after all. If anything, more meso to spend just means more meso to lose. Also, by making tradable chairs more attainable would just tank the chair market even more and just make them worth less for all players, wealthy and less-wealthy alike.
Yeah, that's what I thought. Still, in my opinion, the price of chairs can be kept still high by making it very hard to get. When I say "the rich", I am talking about ppl who can buy things for like 30b or so. For them, for example, spending 1b (20 times) for the chairgacha is nothing (and many chairs are sold for above 1b). But who knows. Maybe you try 20 times and get 20 untradable. Sounds unlikely, but I have no data to prove otherwise.
When you talk about “the rich”, as long as the chair has a price tag, that itself loses the value, significantly. The untradeable rare ones to have those in their main characters is what most rich players are looking for anyway.
The rich are the buyers & collectors, not the sellers, just by looking across a chair that everyone has and can easily get, makes it feel “Urgh”. Those who are looking at the tradable chairs pool usually falls under the gamblers, and echoing what @Kethoe said, more tradable chair chances makes it them pummel in value even further.
As somebody with probably the biggest chair collection on this Server (that isn't banned! ) I would have to hard disagree with this. There's already few people collecting chairs, if we had a tradeable chair guaranteed option then those chairs would plummet down to 20m or lower. People Gach for that chance at earning a chair worth 400-500+M and the big boy Pink Bean Cushion is currently 9B. If we introduce an option to have a guaranteed tradeable chair, those prices will fall significantly because more people would be earning those chairs, and then undercutting whoever to sell it quicker because the chair collector community is already very very low to begin with.
I think getting both tradeable/untradeable chair for 2 tickets/50m is fairly balanced. I myself gambled like mad last year, and although I didn't get the big prized chairs, the untradeable ones are still attractive enough to sooth my pain (oh god my mesos). I don't think there's a need to change.
