I assume because the LHC suggestions was highly upvoted (meaning it is possible), I'd assume it is also possible for the introduction of Scissors of Karma. The majority of mac players cannot go through a full zak run without dcing, making it impossible for them to actually get a zakum helmet. Scissors of Karma allows the person to trade CERTAIN untradeable items, such as Zak Helm.
Players (including myself) have found ways around it by using BootCamp, VMWare, Parallels, which all seem to have different degrees of reliability depending on the computer's specs and software version. Scissors have been suggested before but I think the general consensus was that it made the game too easy.
I have to support this IMO. Most people will say that SoK will make the game easier for all rich people in the game, just buying their items. But I believe the rich people will get those items anyways, so just make it possible for everyone to get 'em. It's quite easy to save up for an item anyways, so I think the gap between rich and poor would slightly decrease.
