I'm glad you found some enjoyment here on the server, and wish you the best for the future. I'm sorry that progress on the autoban has been lackluster, although progress has been made, and many parts of the autobanner have been implemented since that blog post you mentioned. It is still a work in progress, and unfortunately will likely be a work in progress for a long time as hackers find newer methods to exploit each time something is patched.

I had also been taking part in the event on my character Enchilada, and managed to complete the event on the 6th or 7th occurrence of the event and won the chair, which I then gave away. It definitely wasn't the second day. I had many failures before and after that attempt too, and have long since given up trying that event because it's too rage-enducing for me. But I'm sorry if it seems wrong or unfair in any way for me to take part in a GM event on a character of mine and accept a reward.

 

I spent around 40 minutes gathering screenshots and requesting consent for me to also reveal DMs between another GM during the time Matt won, mainly due to the other previous posts aimed at me that didn't have solid proof or actual evidence claiming what they were saying, but I read what Matt said and saw that you retracted your statement and I decided to settle on just a couple of things I wanted to add:

I told you that I bought Deep Sea chair off of somebody who won one of my 2-3am EST hosted Events for 2b, I even announced the name like I always do at the end of my Sea Gorge Events.

The 7th Deep Sea chair was won accidentally by Matt on his Bucc when I was hosting Sea Gorge. I spent the majority of the time testing it, and making it, and he wanted to give it a shot since others were starting to win the prize and he didn't really think he had a chance at winning it either.

Until he got to the top of the second map on his last life.

I was already panicking because I can't just toss the prize aside and pretend nobody won it; because I have always handed out prizes for this Event.
I was literally begging for anyone else to swim up to the top, but everyone that was in front of Matt died over the course of 15 minutes.

It wasn't a lie, I did in fact buy it off of him in exchange for upgrading his facestompers for roughly the same (or less) value. (We do play the game, we're not crazily geared or anything but I upgraded his shoe from a 2 to a 5-7 wa(?) Details are fuzzy but I can't remember what he has currently lol not that it really matters, but for the sake of transparency.)

I never join any Event that I am hosting on any of my legits, but I will join other GMs who host events, and vice versa. I've had GMs join my Events on their legits as well, and I don't see anything wrong with that. What I do see wrong is joining your own event and winning the prize yourself; or straight up giving yourself the prize without actually trying, which didn't happen in this case. I was the person who hosted the Event and put the details in the Prize Log Matt just wanted to give it a go and wasn't expecting to win it.

I was panicking and talking to another GM via Discord about the incident, but since I don't need to reveal any of that (which I was prepared to do, with this GM's consent too) we basically settled on there's nothing wrong with another Staff member participating in an Event that's hosted by another person, and as long as I don't sell it there shouldn't be any issue.

At that rate, the chairs were already down to around 2-3b and continued to stay around there. I wouldn't dare to sell any of my chairs because for those of you who know me know that I actually treasure these useless things and I have been collecting since 2019. Mesos is literally not an object here, I will gladly farm when I can in ulu to afford a stupid dumb chair over gear because that's where I value my time.
I'm almost done with my collection actually aside from GM Chairs, but I'm only missing 3-4 Chair Gachapon ones so I've been able to start upgrading my gear slowly.

I will say, that I am very grateful that you did doublecheck and erased that untrue part and apologized for it; not many people will do that here. I really am sad to see you go, we only talked for a few times but it was funny (in a good way!) watching you afk right by Billy on channel 4 anticipating my wacky hosting schedule, and the line of lee<number> characters that always came strolling on through to collect their Winner's Podium.
