I logged on the priest to do some stopper farming. My wife arrived home from work, so I took my laptop out to the living room to spend some time relaxing and watching TV. I was honestly pretty tired and drained from my work shift. I wasn't in the most alert state whatsoever. I zoned out doing the motions while watching TV and didn't look back for a while. When I looked again, I was offline and unable to log on my accounts. I did notice that one of my accounts on my main desktop was still connected sitting in the fm, but I logged off for two reasons, one to see if I actually did receive a ban or if it was kind of a fluke and also because I didn't want to receive any additional punishments such as "ban evasion" on top of robotic play. I am aware it wasn't the smartest thing to be doing and I 100% should of been paying more attention or if my mind isn't all there I should just take the break and play later. I haven't played Maple since I was a kid and it's been a lot of fun playing again with a few friends and making new ones along the way. I am hoping I can continue to play and be apart of this community. Thank you for considering my appeal.
Thank you for taking the time to write a detailed encounter of events. I'll do my best to assist you in the process of your appeal as you are currently serving a permanent ban for macro botting. Spoiler: MapleRoyals TOS Major Infractions: Game Hacking Punishment: Permanent ban. Game Hacking - The act of using or benefiting from any third-party program or macro program, editing or defacing any part of the game to gain any sort of advantage over other players, or otherwise selling, advertising, distributing, or posting information related to the act. You are allowed to rebind keys in a 1:1 action matter with third-party software as there is no direct benefit in doing that overusing the default keys. We also allow the use of controllers and remapping software for example, as long as the player can reply while playing to not be mistaken for a bot. Please be aware that scripted macro programs which control your character will be considered a game hack and subject to punishment under this rule, and not under Moderate Infraction - 5. Robotic Play. Robotic Play - The act of engaging in robotic or automatic play which allows your character to function without your presence or interaction. Please be aware that, in cases of severe abuse as per the discretion of Staff, we reserve the right to respond with a permanent ban regardless of whether it is your first offense. This act will be defined as the failure of a player to respond to a member of Staff when prompted and visibly at the controls of their character, as evidenced by actions such as movement or use of skills. In the situation where a player is prompting another player, a response is not strictly mandatory; however, a player report in which a player is being prompted numerous times without response over a long period of time may be considered sufficient evidence for consequences under this rule at the discretion of Staff. As such, we strongly suggest to all players respond to any prompts in order to avoid being portrayed in a manner that may not be true. The use of third-party key macros which cause one input action to register multiple outputs, leaving weights on your keyboard, or any other method which allows your character to function without your presence or interaction will be considered grounds for consequences under this rule. I was grinding at Voodoo's all morning, I got off work and came home showered and started playing. I probably was grinding there for around 7-8ish hours in total. I am pretty new to the server so that's one of my only money making methods. If you are asking how long until I noticed I was disconnected I would say it could have been anywhere from just a few minutes to fifteen minutes or so. I was paying more attention to my wife and our show. She is not a big fan of me playing especially on my laptop around the house, and during "our time" so I had the laptop angled slightly away from us so the light wasn't facing us.

If I understand the chain of events correctly, you were grinding at Voodoo's for 7-8 hours straight without paying much attention to your screen, and around that time you noticed that you have been disconnected from the game and tried to reconnect. Then you proceeded to disconnect your character that was sitting in the FM to avoid ban evasion. Is that pretty much what happened?
No lol, I was grinding Voodoo's for 6-7 hours in the morning (fully attentive, I was home alone in my office playing). My wife got home around hour 7, that's I went to watch Tv with her. So I only wasn't paying close attention towards that end mark which was when I went to the living room to play and watch our show. I noticed I got disconnected shortly after while I was out on the couch watching our show. I came back into the office and checked my other account I had and it was still logged on even tho I couldn't log onto my other account. So I logged off to see if it was an error or if it was happening to both of my accounts and additionally if it was a ban I thought I should of been logged off anyhow. I hope that clears up the events and how they went, if you have any additional questions feel free to ask. Ill try to be as clear as possible. Thank you for the help

Your ban duration was reduced from a permanent ban to a 14-day ban for robotic play. If you get caught engaging in robotic behavior again, your ban will be indefinite.
