I noticed today that the stats displayed on the items are wrong when you over hover them. Example: I remembered NPCing a clean overall that was glowing purple while selling leech so I went back to see the stats. I was happy to see that it's a pretty nice overall but when I hovered over it, it almost tricked me into not buying it back. The stats are clearly different from what the NPC told me but I bought it back out of curiosity anyway and it was correct. This isn't anything game changing but it can be a little confusing!
The stats displayed when hovering over the item are the average stats; however, the text in the NPC dialogue next to the item shows that item's particular stats. This definitely confused me for a long time too, so I hope this clears things up!
My assumption would be to display the actually item in the hover-over, however, I'm sure this is far too time-consuming to be worth it. Definitely don't remove the hover-over feature. If I saw "Green Anes" without the picture I wouldn't know what the hell it was.
It's actually impossible show the actual item due to packet restrictions in the client. So we can't do that =/
It does say the stats of the equip along with the color of the rarity right next to it, so you aren't completely left in the dark about a certain item.
My apologies! I didn't realize that showing the actual item was an impossibility I agree with Maya in that the hover feature shouldn't be removed for the same reasoning. If I had taken the time to look at the stats being displayed rather than just thinking "Hey, this doesn't match!" then I would've realized that the stats were average without having to post this xD. As Plenty said, it's already pretty descriptive so it's probably fine to leave as is. My confusion was in not knowing whether buying the item back would give me the the displayed item or the stats listed. The only thing that I'd possibly change is to have the NPC state that hovering over the item displays it's average stats.
