HP Gain HP washing is a disgrace to the true OldSchool Maple community

Mages doesn't get invited for Bossing other than bishops anyways, but what about mages....

 

I really wish mages would join I'm always pro in finding ways to make them relevant somehow. Most are turned down though.

 

I am not here to discuss or convince anything, just to let you know Matt will never remove HP wash so this feedback won't change Royals the way you wish, as for is it necessary or optional I think others in this thread explained well already.

Creating a forum account just for a thing confirmed it will never implement, that's tired for you

 

Needs to be reworded to exploit instead of “unintended method”; then, it needs to be plastered on the home page explaining every detail of what it’s all about within the server with visual examples of what you’re going to see from majority of the players and their outfits / damage output.

I think alternative methods will be great, but there will be a large community that would prefer to not be around other players that partake in an exploit. Expect more reactions like mine when the information isn’t found out until you’re already approaching 3rd job on two characters. It’s my fault for not doing the proper research, but I was ignorant on what it was. Also, I have never met anyone that checks the ingredients of what the chef is cooking with when the restaurant provides an excellent, beautiful, and outstanding piece of work making me believe everything is truly organic and top tier.

I think another sever added without access to the exploit for the entire existence of the server will then deserve the title of washing optional and old school.

 

This is what another server (Croosade) did and ended up screwing themselves

 

My buccaneer is about 3 months old and I've already gained nearly 3k hp from the available hp quests. Apart from that I get about 1.5k hp from equips (of which none are hp-scrolled). I haven't even bothered scrolling my pet equips for hp so I could increase my hp even more should I feel the need.

Spoiler: HP from equips

Medal 500 hp (free)
Face 50 hp (free, Christmas Event)
Pendant 300 hp (MoN - free for me as I ran with guild, or 100-120m cost for VIP service)
Belt 150 hp (no cost, just need to do dojo - when I end up getting Black Belt I'll be getting 300 hp instead of 150 from belt)
Blackfist Cloak ~150 hp (price depends on attack)
Valentine's Day Event Ring 150 hp (free, Valentine's Day Event)
Ephenia Ring 150 hp (free but need to do EPQ, might need to pay ~10m in case you don't end up looting an Ellin crystal while doing the EPQ prequests)

Also, where is your hatred for Gachapon tickets? If APR are P2W then surely Gachapon tickets must be as well.

 

How about you just keep playing while using all the other methods to gain HP and give your opinion after that?
Seems like you let your lack of experience get the better of you and you refuse to listen to players who have been through that already.

Also on a side note - the server is definitely pay2win, just not for the reasons you mentioned

 

By OP's definition of pay 2 win we might as well call onyx apples pay 2 win, cause like aprs it's an item anyone can farm in the game, that gives them an advantage over others.

 

Pretty sure theyre referring to RWT and how prevelant it is among a lot of the high end players.

That's awesome you accomplished that, and I believe that should be the only method to accomplish the goal so I don't have to be surrounded by half naked warriors swinging umbrellas around. Maybe your method is too challenging though so they chose the exploit method instead.

 

APR items are definitely pay 2 win items and Nexon removed the usage of the exploit that majority of the community on here has no issue using. I don't want to continue playing since it seems majority of the players decide to go with the exploit route instead.

 

@Zancks @nutleafcity can this be closed? since it was already moved to the "closed" section, and Zancks already gave a statement from staff, at this point this is more like a rant rather than feedback

 

Are Onyx apples being used in a way that was against the intended use? Consumables are pretty standard across all mmorpgs. My original post was already 5 paragraphs long, cant overdue it with everything I dislike or no one will even read it.

It is feedback though, I'm just defending my case as people continue to disagree that its not a pay 2 win item because its free on this server. I think majority who has responded is not aware of it being an exploit that was removed by Nexon and was one of the first steps that created the pay 2 win disgrace of a game it is today.

 

No it's not, it was a slap to the face for the original hardcore oldschool maple community that re made their characters because of putting points in the wrong stat. It was a slap to the face to all the dexless warriors that grinded it out when they could have just reset their dex to str whenever they want. It was a slap to the face to the people who spent hours rolling the dice on character selection to get a perfect 4/4 stat. It was a slap to the face to the entire maple community that disagreed with using it to manipulate your hp beyond intended use of the item, to the point where Nexon removed that exploit.

I don't think anything will shut this server down other than a lack of a diverse community, the ones that would agree with my post and like it have all been ran out of the building.

 

I dont disagree with the premise of your original argument but id like to ask at what point does an exploit become a feature? Plenty of games have had long standing bugs or exploits that eventually became features. Old school maple is no different in my opinion.

Also stop refering to pay to win as Nothing here you pay real money for gains you any advantage. What youre describing is vote to win.
