This feedback is also related to other similiar events, such as valentine Boss. Egg PQ is very relied on certain classes. Long range class(especially NightLord with less knockback due to avoidability) has more advantage for taking more platforms and eggs than melee classes. It takes longer time for melee classes to trave. Would it be more fair to only allow same weapon type, speed and remove avoidability for all classes in Egg PQ? (also make the egg damage 1 would be great for low level players) Maybe I should just use my shadower instead of my beginner for these kind of events.
i agree, the biggest flaws to events is that it is not balanced for every class. a simple fix would be to even the playing field by lowering the mobs stats/damage like you mentioned and adding a special item that needs to be equipped upon entering, similar to the magical mitten given during the xmas event for snowman.
Also if possible removing energy charge inside the pq, getting an extra hit when buccs have the bubble up feels a lil bit unfair.
Thanks for the feedback everyone! A regular balanced party consists of 4 players and makes sure there is the same amount of melee and ranged on each team. Due to how many classes are present inside the lobby you can get 4v4, 3v3, 2v2, 1v1 and 1-4v0. Whatever combination you have in your pre-match lobby should be the exact same on the opposite team as well. Depending on how many players are present inside of the Lobby the system will try it's best to balance the teams to the best of its abilities. Shads and Buccs that equip a claw/gun will also be filtered through the same check so if you are a Shad and you have a claw you will be sorted as a ranged instead of melee. Shad/NL high avoidability was also taken into consideration when the Event was created last year. Eggy Pops have very high accuracy to hit everyone equally, however Shadow Shifter is a passive skill and it is not something we can fix. We were able to stop Poisonous Stab/Star but Shadow Shifter is entirely a different situation that isn't as straightforward as it would seem. That was something we weren’t aware of and it will be noted and looked into as it should not be happening.
Spoiler: Good intentions but egg PQ is just a toxic and competive PQ. This kind of scenarios + the amount of ksing there has been inbetween teams and even in the same team compared to other years makes me think a change should be recosidered. I propose not for everyone to use a ranged weapon + projectiles which would make the whole thing awkward but to everyone to use a melee weapon, can be something like a glove to pick up eggs or a basket if you wanna make it thematic. Is the toxicity coming from 'ty for making us win' or from 'imagine being a NL and boasting about this' which was from you.
Moving this to accepted, and will refer back to it come time for next easter event. I think there are some small improvements that can still be made to this event PQ.
