just like with many other things in life that you don't have a greater understanding of you choose 'medium' and justify that choice in your mind by thinking: 'surely this is the average option that most people use'

as a toothbrush connoisseur i would like to share my expertise

soft toothbrush bristles are better for those who like the taste of toothpaste as the soft bristles have been scientifically shown to enhance the menthol flavours, leading to a more intense minty fresh sensation in your mouth as you brush

however if you prefer texture over taste, hard toothbrush bristles are better as they provide a more crisp scrubbing sensation. as a added benefit, if any bristles fall off from the brush, you get a bonus crunchy surprise as you chew the toothpaste

hard bristle brushes are also more versatile as it can double as a toilet scrub in case of skid marks in hard-to-reach places of your toilet bowl

but personally i am willing to sacrifice versatility for optimal taste profile when brushing teeth

thank you for attending my ted talk

for legal purposes this is a joke

I’m a hard bristle bitch all the way. Anything else is wrong. Plus the firmness is comforting and it makes me feel cleaner ~f8
