Hello guys, i wasn't sure where to post this but I thought I'd post it here. This incident happened around Servertime 25th May 1600H. Context: My FS10 + top-up for vStep's FS11 I'll attach all the screenshots I've taken for clarity but here is the story in sequence: 1) vStep smegas S>FS11 for 7b straight 2) i pm him "u taking fs10 as downgrade? "D" 3) he replies "what is your top up offer" 4) I replied "looking at 2 cs / ws / 1 bcoin " 5) He replies "yeah sure we can trade" 6) I replied "kk", "omw" In free market (a pity I didn't snap a picture of the trade), but basically, I gave him my FS10 + 1 CS + 1 WS which he accepted trade for his FS11 (no proof, but this happened) After the trade, I went to Shao with my buddy and 2mins in, this happened: 1) vStep says "where is my bcoin" 2) I replied "wdym sir" "1b topup we use cs + ws yea?" "you received fs10 + 1 cs + 1ws right" 3) he says "2b topup in total" The rest I've attached but its basically him calling me a scammer and saying he'll blacklist me and blablabla. Reason I am posting this here with proof is to clear my name that I wasn't out to scam him and he agreed (and traded his FS11 for my FS10 + 1CS + 1WS Attached are all the screenshots I've taken to show as backup. I would like to think I'm a nice person but if I'm called a scammer despite having communicated clearly, there really isn't a reason for me to be nice and return him the FS11 tbh. GMs, people, posting this here (not sure if its the best place, but I hope this clarifies. Thank you.
Seems like there is an honest miscommunication here, if you are so inclined that you are not in the wrong and there's no malicious intent, then surely reverting the trade should be a simple solve here? There's no tax penalty since it was just items
It would be the obvious answer but his inclination to offer 2cs/WS/bcoin top up on a non negotiationable item that’s 2b above his tells me he did have malicious intent, I’ve already posted this on the blacklist (where these matters are supposed to go) I know staff can’t refund me, I’d rather just warn everybody else.
@Nerd In all due respect, I would do that in normal circumstances and reverse the trade (of course, some may argue this is empty talk) No one likes to be accused of committing a crime when all they had in mind was purely trading for upgrade of shoes. The accusation aside, their tone and manner of speaking doesn't warrant a friendly response imo. If you want to be treated nicely, you have to first be nice, its as simple as that. But I really don't see how being a blamethrower can convince me to reverse the trade we already did. My conscious is clear.
surely a miscommunication, dont know if i would think the same but it sounds like you pick either 2ws, 2cs or 1/1 but the 1B is still there regardless. but i guess the buyer meant in other words "you pick from those 3 things". like @Nerd mentioned above, reverting the trade would benefit both parties from future problems and no one loses anything.
/ means either not both onus is on you to check if you got what you wanted. unfortunate but thats how the free market works. You see people mispricing stuff in their stores everyday. Are they all entitled to get their item back? No. If the person is nice he can revert the trade but he doesnt have to and you are not entitled to it. I wouldnt call it a scam. Its miscommunication and negligence on your part. Best solution for you would be to apologise to the buyer and hope he is nice enough to revert the trade.
I think 2cs/ws/1bcoin would be little confused. Usually would say 10fs + 2b topup, paying by cs/ws/bcoin. But buyer and seller should also double check and confirm all the correct detail and numbers before finishing trade.
