Hi, I'm not sure what the response is gonna be like to this, but I was secretly hoping we could extend the Valentine's event for a couple days or so due to the server issues that have caused some people (read: me) to miss out on Lovestruck King Slimes. I don't want to sound demanding or imposing, so.. I'll.. just.. leave.. this.. here....

That was before we were having daily crashes though, Plenty. We havent discussed yet if we'll be doing any event extension due to the recent crashes, but i'll bring it up.
I would like this. I rejoined Royals very recently and am a bit late to the event. I'd like to get the ring but there's not much time left. Because of that, every slime kill is important to me and when the server crashes right before it spawns, it kinda fucks me over. I'd really appreciate an extension but that's just my opinion.
Thanks Sila <3. One of the reasons I brought it up was because some of us don't have a lot of time to play the game and get all the remaining slimes. Like, even sitting around every 4 hours is kinda difficult, especially with the frequency of the crashes. It means that we'll miss some of them just because we were away for too long and the server came back up earlier than expected, or we just had things to do and couldn't wait around any longer. I appreciate the team discussing this, a lot.
The server does not crash when slime spawns. The server lags and seems to freeze up AFTER slime is killed and people are going to the NPC to redeem their present. Just wanted to clarify that.
That's basically just a different way of putting it; in the end, it causes problems such as lag, d/c's and server freezes that lead to downtime for you guys to attempt to fix it to a certain extent. And most of the time, the slime timer is kept as accurate as possible and the downtime wasn't that much compared to, for example, the Christmas event's downtimes (where the event was extended). I mean, I'm not against extending it, but I don't see a good reason to do so.
Right, the reason I made the clarification was the poster seemed to say they can't fight slime and get a present/add a kill to their count towards getting a ring. I wanted it to be clear that the slime does get killed and people do get the presents/credit for the kills. Yes, the server tends to lag and cause DC's after it dies, but the slime itself works
I've heard that people have d/c problems during slime, too; I haven't d/c'd once, though. Might be similar to the GFX issues with HT/Zak with Mac clients and nVidia graphics... No clue lol.
Oh yeah I totally get that the slime itself works. I just know personally that I've missed quite a few slimes because it was supposed to spawn, but the server happened to be down at the time, or it froze, or something like that. Sorry if I misled. I've had d/c issues during slime, it might be a mac client thing though as you've pointed out. I'm getting blackscreens and all that jazz. GFX doesn't seem to really help a lot, either.
The first thing after I got the present is to change channel so that my slime counter is saved into the database to prevent any rollback, exchanging the present comes later.
