Currently in mapleroyals, base stats cap to 999. So this means most classes at level 200 are forced to put 19 points into their secondary stat. I am suggesting to remove this cap, so that you can place these 19 points into the main stat. Example Before change Level 200 warrior has 4 luk 23 dex 999 str 4 int After change Level 200 warrior has 4 luk 4 dex 1018 str 4 int
Would still need a cap or people would sacrifice HP to put into base stat and then keep doing daily hp quest to get that HP back lol
this is something that could be easily patched up I don't see much wrong with the suggestion, except maybe the MW20 (and hypothetical mw30) 1000 stat boost, as well as whatever future additional att gear like shoulder pads/timeless eq would distend the upper end of damage output too much, otherwise 19 stats at 200 is a well earned reward
Correct me if I'm misunderstanding, but this isn't an issue. You can't take points out of hp/mp unless you've already spent points on them. If this were something you could do, you'd see people stat capping at 120 for minmaxing leech mules
@Splatypus Best suggestion so far wasn't to eliminate the CAP, but rather to extend it just to fit the leftover AP. Otherwise it would create disbalance and it will become RecycleBinMS for me.
Theres no difference between a cap of 1018 or a cap of 1,000,000 or no cap at all . You can't get more than 1018 ap so the cap is completely meaningless unless it's lower than 1018
I believe splatypus is correct, and people who believe otherwise have an incorrect understanding of hp washing mechanics. In the end you can only ever allocate to your stats, the amount of AP that you possess. If you attempt to "sacrifice HP" to put into base stat, that means that you have already put some of your AP into HP. You can't put more stats than AP that you have. If you wanted to, you could do the opposite of "Hp wash" and convert your hp into MP. However, to my understanding the repeatable hp quest considers your extra MP already to determine the limits before it becomes once per day.
Still see this as being valuable. despite my general distaste for min/maxing, I think this would be a great level 200 perk. Maybe a fetch quest involved for level 190+, but definitely would be a great level 200 reward
It would also be a good balance change because it would be a relative to buff to non thieves. (NL would not benefit from this cap change since they can only have 997 base LUK, whereas other classes that are subpar in the meta like warriors can benefit much more).
