The thread goes out to the Fab4, that ended on 3/1/2015, featuring :Purrday, Matyas, Puddings, Jenna

This is the story of my time in Mapleroyals.
Inspired by a couple colleagues of mine, I started to relive my childhood in the endless nostalgic game that is Maplestory.

Reliving the mapleisland with the 1X exp, was an extreme excitement even for a 20 year old college student like me.
Remembering the good'ol snail shell attack! and the demon lord of the mapleisland, THE RED SNAIL brought out the inner child out of my adult body.
The difficulty of getting to level 10 and remembering all the maple island quests gave me a hint.
A hint which foreshadowed my love for the game.

After finally reaching level 10, I boarded the boat to Lith Harbor to meet Mr.Olaf.
Though Olaf gave me great advices about all different classes, I already knew where I was headed.
Choosing a class was not a hard thing for me, because I've always played bowman since middle school.

I would ask my collegues if they remember where the pig beach was, and I would proudly show them the hidden fence
in the three split road. Collecting leather and avoiding iron hog was quite the mission.

But Maplestory was or at least used to be about the community. The variety of characteristics that are given to you, it was enevitable to meet some new
personalities and friends.

I met many interesting set of personalities from people all over the world.

During my level21-30... I would remember to go to Kerning city Party quest. As soon as I hit level 21, I strapped on my rubber boots and wiped off the horny mushrooms off my arse,
and called a cab to kerning city for a wooping 1200 mesos.

And there, it all started, on the tough street life of Kerning city,
I met the friends that would prolong my mapleroyals experience.

This is where the story of the Fab4 begins/

Here I introduce our lovely Jenna, known to have strong opinions, but is also very respectful and loving. Next we got Puddings, funny guy though he likes to speak his mind on whatever it is, he is a quite a good friend. Lastly we have Matyas, known for his witty comments and always theifing jenna's hearts!

The four of us KPQ that night. But we talked,,, and talked... and talked...
This was what it felt to play the good old maplestory. Talking about life and things while trying to find out the correct puzzle at the 2nd last stage. And collectively fighting off the big Slime King to gain that little exp at the end.

That night, the four of us buddied each other, and we showed our respect and love for the game. I instantly knew I was going to love this game.

Next day, I excitedly went online, and saw the welcoming texts in my buddy list. "WB purrday!",
I had forgotten when the last time I've seen "WB" in an online community.

So, we hung out, and...

We did many different things together.. and got closer


And closer...



And then...
some good'ol maple romance baby!


Matches makes the first BOLD move on Jenna!

Jenna could not resist those maple story pixels... Matches with the swag new tux!, and that sweet innocent smile? She obviously accepted.
Oh how I missed maple romance, in middle school I would hang out with one of those henny hoes, and we would always act out maple romance!

But..

Matyas was however becoming less and less active as time went on. Even holding off on the wedding quests, the level difference between us and matches grew bigger by the hour. Matyas was different from the 3 of us. Though he loved the game as much as we did, his willingness to sacrifice time
in the real life was not present. I had a bitter feeling Matyas would not last very long.

Matyas and Jenna had finally set the date for the wedding. Puddings and I were both going to attend the wedding to congratulate the couple. Jenna excitedly bought wedding dress with the NX she had saved up, and waited for Matyas to come online.

So, She waited...

and waited.....

and waited...


He did not show up for the wedding date, but that was Okay, we can still do it next time he comes on.

and so we waited for Matyas to come back.


...
and waited



...
aaaand waited..


...

Matyas never showed his presence online after that date.


But that was okay! we still had myself, Puddings and Jenna. Puddings was rather happy because he liked Jenna (for reals) haha here we go drama!.

Puddings would joke around make dirty and mean jokes all for fun! With the us 3 left, we were leveling quite fast. We met new people, and new friends.

So there, we decided to make a new GUILD! called TEASE! a guild that welcomes LGBT players, tease was looking extremely promising with Jenna and Myself as strong leaders!


Theres our original peeps! Carmilla, Freddie,Loki are all still very active!


Jenna tryna kill people!

We were having so much fun, I didn't care that I was doing bad in school, I had my homie Puddings and my sweet sister Jenna to talk to and hang out with. We'd go to kill Headless horsemens, make fun of new guildies, the best relationship one could ask!

Things however don't always stay the same. Change is inevitable.


Jenna and Puddings started drift apart when arguments and harsh jokes were coming at each other nonstop. The Maple drama though sounds like a Joke, still plays with people's emotions. Jenna and Pudding's ideals and opinions clashed.

Jenna was known to be extremely strongly opinionated, as such creating the LGBT guild, and puddings was a jokester who sometime would take things a bit too far. Hearing from both sides, Puddings was just trying to have fun, but Jenna thought he was taking things a little too far...

Jenna's friends started staying away from puddings, and so eventually so did Jenna...


Puddings found new friends, but I still stood in the middle of the three.



Eventually, Puddings left the guild and tease was falling apart.

Puddings did not return to his original account, nor Mapleroyals in the end. The only ones left was me and Jenna.

It was not long until Jenna met a new man, Maple romance drama was always fun and exciting.

Alot of things happened in Shade. Still today, it consists of 80+ players and many active!


However, life in the way, Jenna started to come online less and less... Though the guild was extremely active and fun, I was the only one left of the fab4 for most.

I made a decision to myself, to leave the guild shade. At first I wanted to help a newly created guild called Timshel, but as time passed on, the small cozy community that I once had before Shade got bigger tempted me to stay.

I did not realize that my actions could inflict critical hits to the relationships that I've built on the online community. Especially to Jenna because I was what was left in the fab4.

Jenna was not active at the time, so I felt it was okay to just leave.

Joining Timshel was nice, met new people hung around cool sexy pixelated girls! ahem Court! and I had slowly forgotten of the Fab4 that created my presence on this online interaction.

Could this have been such a big deal, afterall Maplestory is just a game. People join different guilds all the time. But the key information that I had forgotten is the community. Maplestory is about the community, relationships, much like making friends in real life. A game which holds deeper meaning than just playing to level.

Many would read this and probably think that I am over dramatizing our relationship, and over exaggerating on a simple game. Though may be true, but the relationships that I had with many fellow royalers were real and not different from real life.

The news was broken out to Jenna that I had left Shade to join a different guild. Jenna came online extremely disappointed and started an argument. I felt quite bad, and jenna had logged off immediately before I can even apologize.

I had no idea that someone from an online community, especially Maplestory could make me feel so sorry and bad by the expression of the texts.
Jenna had told me that the FAB4 is already gone, and I was the only one left. That she could not lose me as well. At that exact moment, I felt horrible.
Felt horrible because I have forgotten about the Fab4, and because I betrayed the one and only friend left in Fab4.

I knew Jenna was having a tough time in the real world, a harsh reality of hers is incomparable to mine. She often would say Mapleroyals is just a place to run away from the real world, and I was part of the recovery process. I just cannot express how sorry I am for betraying and disappointing my friend, a friend who needs friends to help recover from the fatal wounds of the real world. Those of you who are reading may find this a little bit cheesy, but whatever it is, when relationships are involved, there is no emotional discrimination.

Currently, I am the lone survivor of the Fab4. Jenna has recently quit Mapleroyals due to real life situations. SO I made this thread for you Jenna, Puddings and Matches to see what we've been through as Royalers. I cannot wish anymore things from the fab4, as they have given me a great experience in MapleRoyals. An online community, apart from real life, ones who you can talk to without showing true intention.

This was extremely fun for me when lasted, I had no idea that I could be so addicted to a game such as Maplestory. But now I understand.

The FAB4 will always live on. I'll be waiting for you guys, don't forget about me!

Love you guys, have fun in the Real world, I know some of you have played MapleRoyals to run away from life for a bit, but I am Happy that you recovered and if I was any part of it, then I am more than glad!

Again, I miss you guys, and I really do hope you guys get to see this thread that I've made.
