I have a 1.25x exp/drop coupon from the Anniversary Event, and it was supposed to expire on server time June 30 some time around 1 AM However, in order to hold a 1-3 FM spot, I used a temporary permit in FM from June 29th to around (at least) 11pm June 30th server time. During this time I did not go offline, and held the FM spot with temporary store permit in its entirety. I started farming jr.wraith in Kerning Subway a couple hours later. about an hour into the farming I realized the exp value was weird and saw my coupon was still not expired despite it already being July 1st server time. I then logged off and went to bed to not exploit the bug. Logging back on today, I first got an error about "pointer" on the 1st attempt where I got into the maple world and got disconnected immediately and the client crashed. Everything is normal on the 2nd attempt and surely, the coupon has expired this time. Implication: if either staying online or being actively in temp store permit prevents item from expiring, it could be exploited to keep cash item, event items, or OP temporary items from disappearing and could severely disrupt economy and game balance. Hope it gets fixed!
Thanks for the report. I remember trying to replicate this issue, and neither I nor @Zancks could replicate it. However, we can assure that we can check the database periodically to see if this occurs, and remove items that should have expired if they haven't for some reason. Will keep an eye out for other reports, but it seems to be a very rare occurrence, and seems like the item will expire anyway.
