Closed Banned a few years ago..

Why do you think you got banned?:
My account was banned a few years ago because I was playing on my friends account who had taken his own life. This was a coping mechanism for me. If I could even just log in one last time that would be enough for me. All I did with this account was level a priest to around 119 I believe, starting at like 50. I had a priest at the same exact level that I could've played on.. but just the fact that it was his character and had his name meant so much to me. I know this is all a shot in the dark but if there is any way of appealing this ban I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you.

I can go into more detail in private messages if need be if that helps my case. I just dont want to make all of that public out of respect for my friend.

There was no personal gain for me besides for my mental. I had a priest at the same exact level that I could've leveled instead. It's hard for me to admit what I did was wrong because it didn't feel wrong to me.. I'm just hoping that you guys can understand where im coming from.

The rules also state:

10. Account Sharing - This rule was altered in October of 2014 to respond to the growing number of people abusing the ability to share accounts for a variety of purposes that we deemed unacceptable. Eight scenarios for which account sharing will be considered an immediate permanent ban are the following:

1. Using power-levelling services; - I did not do this, i was a priest. I grinded my way to 119.
2. Two or more people taking turns in levelling up a character (i.e. training); - I was the only person playing on this account.
3. Logging onto someone else's character in order to leech your own; My character was a much higher level than his and would not have benefited from leech.
4. Removing items from or deleting someone else's character; - I did not remove any items or delete any characters.
5. Giving an account with a high-levelled character on it to someone else;- I did not give an account to anyone. My friend passed. I knew him for 10+ years. Ive known his account names and passwords through various games throughout the years. You have to realize that I had an account with a character the same exact level and class that I could have used, but to cope with losing my best friend I just felt this need to do it for him.
6. Committing a bannable offence (other than just account sharing) on someone else's account;- I did not commit any bannable offense on someone elses account.
7. Wasting Staff time by lying about the account sharing; I have done nothing but told the truth from the start. Its been 3 years. I was originally treated very poorly and I'm really hoping the discretion has gotten a bit better. I have offered to give any and all proof of my situation in order to better my case, but in the past people have jumped to conclusions.
8. Sharing your account details with multiple people.- I did not do this at all.

In any other situations, the default punishment will be a 30 day ban and potentially a reversal of actions taken during the share, however, this is still subject to Staff discretion and the involved parties may face a permanent ban regardless of their situation not being listed above. Finally, the use of the same account information as other locations such as your personal social medias or any other game servers does not violate this rule, however, any individuals who access your account on the basis of knowledge of account information in other places does. You are responsible for the privacy of your own account information.

I did not do any of these things. Its been 3 years. I do not understand why I didn't receive a 30 day ban, but rather a permanent HWID ban.

Are you asking if I've played the game since my original ban? If so no. It was a first offense hwid ban

I’ve been reading past input from staff years ago, although it’s sort of hard for me to read that stuff, people had mentioned that they wanted for me to provide proof since apparently everything I said was a lie.. im not sure how you could tie my friend to the account but I have the obituary. I can also tell you what character that was of the same level that I chose not to play to level up to 119, which was the apparent advantage. I’m not sure if i’m just being misunderstood or not. I’m more than willing to give any and all clarification. Thank you for your time

Hello, after our internal discussion, I’m pleased to inform you that your accounts along with the account containing “BruceD” will be unbanned.

However, the “BruceD” account will be unbanned with conditions. Admins will verify the inventory first, then warp the character to a jail map. The account is for you and for memorial only. You may not use the character to interact with others by any means. Failing to do so will result in immediate ban.

You may play your own account as regularly. However, I noticed you were also banned for PayPal chargeback. Only the server owner @Matt can handle that, so you would need to talk to him regarding the chargeback ban, before we can issue you an unban.

How do I go about talking about the unban? Also do I get my items from BruceD?

Shouldn’t this be marked as awaiting admin action ? I’m sorry for bumping I’m just in the dark over and have only gotten disrespected by others whenever trying to speak with Matt directly. It’s just hard waiting longer after a week of already waiting and being told I would be unbanned :/
