Not sure exactly if this is the right place to post this, but some players are experiencing graphical issues / client crashes with party UI (opening party tab, enabling HP bars, etc) and chat not displaying later in the VL run. Also is there a way to enable some amount of invulnerability after warping back from the JQ? Seen a lot of people die landing on top of a spawning golem drop with either little to no time to react since theyre still loading from the black transition screen. This is not including the people who die from failing the JQ edit: I was using img myself, and my guildmates said they were using img as well.
Thank you for bringing out this content. After a few practices, its something that you can really get used to. As of now, I do not recommend making this change, little bug fixes, fix the lag issue here and there and it is fine as it is.
if VL started the golem animation before you returned from jail the falling golems shouldnt hit you according to Matt, so you have that invulnerability from getting one shot basically.
Firstly, I'd like to thank staff for this content on behalf of Rogue, if they did not directly go to you themselves. Being currently the only party to full clear Von Leon and seeing the whole run through, I do not believe there has to be any adjustments done to the boss OTHER THAN fixing the golem 1 hit hitbox. The boss is fun and is a breath of fresh air with the perfect amount of HP and time that requires active parties to work together. Thanks.
Some bugs I encountered: In the middle of B2, I had an issue where vl kept disappearing, my item inventory wouldn’t open up, and I could not cast certain skills (MW20). Before disconnecting, my client turned black for 3 seconds, followed by a disconnected error note. Using IMG files I’m a Shad, in a party of 3 Shads, 2 of which disconnected in B2 I did gfx Thank u very much @ staff for your work releasing this content :3 EDIT: just realised that I ran using WZ files , will re-post if I encounter the same bug using IMG files.
My client crashed when I right click someone's character for party invite. Maybe that is a potential client issues? Was in B2, img installation (big client)
Not sure if this is the appropriate place to post this but this happened in bishop jail room, I was using img files, small client. Broke all boxes, with more than 20 seconds to spare, and no keys dropped. I was forced to suicide and get ress-ed subsequently as there was nothing else I can possibly do. Able to see von leon and his spawns, able to see the pets of some of my expedition members. My chat got bugged out after this happened, only some of the text I sent out were displaying in the chat log.
I dced in Von Leon at body 2, just got invalid pointer error. Seems like b2 is generally less stable with b1. I was using img client.
I think thats the goal considering how the drops are not lucrative at all. Imagine 30 people splitting the rewards
Then why would you want it made harder if the drops are not good for splitting between 30? I am confused.
hard = challenging = fun. a lot of players, myself included are doing it for the challenge of slaying it, not loots.
Because to be frank most of the players are not chasing for the rewards, but for fun and excitement to theory craft to kill this new boss. Reiterating what I posted on patch day to remind you:
It is less about the drop and more about how it is fun as a challenge for some of us. Before VL. I was on a hiatus because there was pretty much nothing to do. Now, I look forward to weekends where I know I can have fun with a 30man squad and enjoy the challenge together. I personally think that nerfing auf haven touch damage back then was a big mistake, it killed all the fun and challenge, hope you can hear my humble advice and not screw this boss up too.
Well, like I said, challenge yourself to do it with 18 players instead of 30 I suppose. Because that is what we are aiming for in regards to the design of this boss. Maybe Pink Bean will require 30... who knows.
wasn't 18 players doable before the nerf? its only been a week, i doubt thats large enough of a sample size to determine if we (the players of royals) are or aren't able to do it, considering that we only get to attempt it twice per character per week.
