https://i.filehostingsite/Ks9WMff/image.png (This guy stands in every town for no reason) Reviving the thread: QoL [Request] Duey Package Delivery, which had a unanimous poll in favor of adding Duey Package Delivery (110-0). Info consolidated from the old discussion: PROS: Paying splits to players who are in a different time zone (the majority of the feedback was for this purpose) Splits for Von Leon expeditions can be upwards of 20+ players, adding this feature would remove almost all headache of tracking people down Recipient does not need to be online to complete "trade" Sending gifts CONS: Exploits and bugs (RWT) tbh, this already happens via drop/direct trades Packages expiring after 30 days REQUESTS: Fix any vulnerabilities within the system (duping) Removing 30-day package expiry Adding persistent notifications for packages received Notification upon login/changing channel
One thing I would suggest is, when you type someone's name, for example if I typed "Aqwrd" it would tell me, lvl 200, class bowmaster. However I doubt this gets implemented because RWT'ers would salivate.
I'm for the idea because the thought of just sending items when you or someone else isn't online to trade is super convenient (and much like systems that reminds me of other mmos, so there's something of a bias for me personally--) but at the same time, it's hard to pick either or because while I like the feature, as certain issues stand, said feature would be a huge problem bc of issues already said
It's a fantastic idea and I don't think it's a bad idea either, however, I can see RWTers having a field day with this sort of system. Logged or not (definitely would be logged if implemented) that would add another list for the Admins to check and keep track of on their own as their list continuously grows of misc. checks that are needed to be done daily. I voted no because as Zancks said, the first con is kinda huge. If we didn't have to worry about Duey being used as a middle man for illegal trades I could see the positives outweighing the negatives but unfortunately that's something we have to keep in mind too. Duey gonna be commitin' some felonies.
Still appealing to RWTers. People will claim that they were randomly gifted 100 billion mesos by a complete stranger. Also, not being able to send items would limit the value of the feature for legit players, making it just not worth the hassle of including.
What's the difference between this and a normal trade? i mean rwt'ers will just keep dropping items and atleast with Duey it's logged, and they still trade Bcoins/cs/ws from the look of ban appeals. The rwt argument is kinda pointless when sellers already dont care about the trade logs Edit: https://royals.ms/forum/threads/ban-apeal.211095/ lol, you guys caught him cuz he was selling items, not cuz he was caught with logs. atleast with duey you could have caught the seller but hey¯\_(ツ)_/¯
only difference between trade and delivery that i can see is that the delivery is a one-sided trade and wouldn't require both players to be online to complete but as staff has said, it adds another place where logs need to be checked imo i agree with @digitalpunk since adding duey is only going to benefit legitimate players as rwt will happen with or without a package system - an "i was gifted 50b meso by a stranger" argument is just as (un)believable as "someone dropped these in fm and i happened to pick them up"
Yes very true, more admins would be nice to handle that , cough cough becca? im just wondering if it doesn't balance out the fact that catching a rwter buyer in fm with droptraded gear doesnt catch the original rwt seller, doesn't checking the logs and banning the seller in the long game save time by having to investigate less sellers? tbh i would be happy with Duey so paying out splits would be so much easier, can see why staff wouldn't want it aswell.
