The Kerning duping situation.

    After today, i think the assumption about duping is quite very concrete.

    Firstly, i’m writing this thread hoping that GMs can share some information on whats happening,
    • Do we even know how to counter this duping situation.
      • Looking at the amount of 19/95 Dps injected into the market probably is enough for us to feel that theres a serious duping situation going on. Its just no one is saying it.
      • WS/CS prices have been dropping in value, are we sure that its because of autoban is working well? Or its because of dupes?
    • Are we going to do a rollback?
    From what i know, if a player were to hide the items, he’ll get away with it. 100%.
    Lets be real, we are in a vanilla server, and theres limited things that even admins can do.

    Do we remember the mass account hacking issue that happened a year back?
    Yeah. It took forever to fix.

    Now the elephant in the room.
    • Is it a dupe?
    • What will happen to the value of our gears if the hacker decides to dupe a bunch later today and celebrate christmas in kerning again
    • Are we even prepared for when it's going to happen again?
    For now I sincerely plead that @Matt @Tim can make a proper announcement, additionally to rollback, turn off trades, or even the server until the dupe is fixed.

    Of course theres a possibility of, oh maybe the rwter just bought like bunch of them and threw them around just to cause a scene, but really?

    The chances of finding a dupilcation glitch loophole in a vanilla maplestory game seems alot more likely.

    I already knew duping existed from the multiple 95/19 6 avoid DPS on ban appeals.
    A bit concerning to see that those hackers are taking it to the next level, and I can only assume a good portion of the people who looted those items will not be caught.

    I hope we have the tools to somewhat deal with it and get the economy back to normal.

    I'm fairly confident that it's pretty normal to have lower amounts of players online at this time of the year. Some people are still in school and working on their mid-terms / finals. Give it time :)
