    Cash shop vs. Albert
Super Megaphone: 1,000 NX or 2,000,000 mesos
Item Megaphone: 1,300 NX or 5,000,000 mesos
Avatar smegas: 1,700 NX or 7,000,000 mesos
Triple Megaphone: 2,500 NX or 10,000,000 mesos

Are the high meso prices of the special smegas intentional? If the same ratio for the normal smega is applied, they should be:
    Item Megaphone: 2,600,000 mesos
    Avatar smegas: 3,400,000 mesos
    Triple Megaphone: 5,000,000 mesos

Even if we use the owl ratio (3m for 1,000 NX), the prices are severely inflated.

I rarely smega (only do so with an actual purpose) and prefer to use avatar smegas when I do, but have been buying them with NX due to the strangely inflated meso prices. Is this intentional to discourage their usage or something?

It may be that mesos are easier to come by than nx.

The main people who are using the other smegas have the money to purchase them (and a large quantity of them). It's more of a tax on these players because they're usually carrying a lot of mesos and the purchasers have the money to not care about the slightly inflated price of those smegas. If you lower the cost of the smegas, then there will be a rise in the amount of item/triple smega seen and causing regular players to just mute smegas altogether (making it harder to reach out to these guys) or not play on the server.

I see where you are coming from for triple smegas but the inflation is extreme (hardly "slight") and what's wrong with item smegas? I'd actually want more of them around: might save me the trouble of an FM search for something that can't be easily owled, or a 2b+ item I need might be advertised.

If people are going overboard with helm flaunting parties I just mute for like 10 mins (and most people do not know you can mute smegas, since everyone seems to have gacha smegas on which I find far more annoying and plentiful).

As for avatar smegas there's still tons of fireworks smegas floating around from Lunar New Year, those won't be stopped.

If anything, super megaphones should be increased to 4,000,000 mesos. Good mesos sink.

The prices are intentional as they serve as meso sinks. Although players are welcome to mute smegas, we wouldn't want to encourage a situation where the spam gets too ridiculous that everyone would mute them.

    Hello, I forgot to reply.

I still think the prices are exaggerated, and some people have massive stashes of seasonal avatar smegas anyway. But I can see why a flood of avatar or triple smegas would be a problem.

Personally, I think the item smegas should at least be excused since it's a good way of advertising 2b+ items or requesting price checks. It's also funny to smega items with hilariously bad stats.

How do I get this random person to coherently explain why they disagree with me, as opposed to just wanting to make the post they disagree with disappear?
