I was helping a friend with Griffey quest and found etc all over the channels, so I recognized someone is hunting it. I wanted to get my friend at least a kill so I ~maponwer and /find to get in front of him. Then I found out this guy was moving to Manon and started changing channels.
The attached picture shows the conversation we had when I confronted him about hunting Manon.

 

uhhh is it wrong to visit all the channels and kill all the manon (or griffey or bigfoot or headless horseman or pianus) for no reason at all?
like i do it all the time, i don't need exp or nx or quests
everyone does it lol

just because you need it to do a quest does not make it more important than me, who kills for the lols
so don't get why that should be blacklistable?

 

Make a poll to find out if 'everyone' does it, or just people doing it 'for the lols'

 

Playing the game and hunting an area boss for NX/quest drops or item drops is very much toxic and banneable. Please make sure to report him

I don't think there's a clear answer here, and without precedent I would hesitate to say this is blacklist worthy.

But perhaps it should be, moving forward.

 

Hunting bosses for sport? Normal gameplay.

Hunting bosses to intentionally prevent someone from questing or something? Blacklistable.

LMAOOOOO I seriously can't believe I will end up here. Firstly, I kill bosses and I kill every boss which spawns in front of my eyes. Yes, Manon is not excluded.

Reason for killing: To get nx, eq, books, etc. and to kill time too

Not sure why killing boss is blacklist-able or bannable or even toxic. I found the manon first, so obviously I have the right to kill it or let it live. Would like to know which Mapleroyal's rule I am breaking.

Look, if you or any HT runners really want to clear the HT quest badly. You guys should be taking the initiative to find and hunt for manon. I put in the effort to surf the channels and kill them and I don't see why you can't do the same? Don't say I am gatekeeping anyone because if you manage to get it first, you can have the manon and I will not touch it.

Well..I dont usually camp for the next 3hrs. I have better things to do. But I did that before in the past and is not really worth it. Also, I don't think is a concern as is not like I could split into 20 characters and kill all 20 of them at one go.

At the end of the day, it just really boils down to how much effort you want to put in and hunt manon. I would argue that you guys sound a bit lazy to hunt and expect manon to just appear in front of your eyes. iirc, royal has already changed from manon cry to manon kill as some of you have been complaining how "hard" it was to clear the quest. And now you want people to stop killing manon just so you can have easy access to manon? Sounds a bit entitled don't you think? The world does not owe you anything

 

Also, whenever people ask me to wait so they could bring their HT team to get the kill, I would always comply without fail. Yeah, so you are welcome HT people and hope that curb the "toxicity".

If you ask me to stop killing? Nahh, unless you are the GM or owner of this game.
