Re-opening with permission from @Matt To refresh your memory ( Matt and @Katsuruka ) http://royals.ms/forum/threads/ip-blocked.17244/#post-99850 I am back home for Spring Break, and the same issue persists as stated in my first thread. I'm only home for a week, but would still enjoy being able to play As always, I am obliged to assist to the full extent of my ability. Thanks ~ Waffles
Please pm me your home ip and MAC address so I can look into this again. However, if we found no signs of a ban relating to your home ip and MAC last time, it is possible that this is a dns issue.
Oh dear, this doesn't look good. Having thoroughly checked out the information you provided me with, it turns out that in fact you are banned at home. Someone with the same mac address as you, the same ip address and the same birthday was banned for hacking approximately a year ago. Ban details: Lazz banned lolMod01: Hacking (Hitting all map, Fast attack)
Wow, well that certainly helps explain why I cant login. I joined this sever about last September, I cant quite say who's been meddling around our house last year. I certainly do not recognize that IGN As I've said before, no one in my family or close friends play MapleRoyals (that I know of). 2spooky5me ... I usually don't believe on coincidences, this definitely worries me.
I'd appreciate it if other members of staff could take a look at the evidence I posted in a new thread in the GM section and see what they think. Do you have any brothers, sisters friends or cousins who might have played MapleRoyals without mentioning it to you? Let me give you a complete list of character names on those banned accounts: and lolMod01
My sister is my only sibling, and she doesn't even play computer games. I do have two cousins, and while both of my cousins did play computer games, I was unsuccessful in recruiting them to play Maplestory GMS back in late 2006. Plus, they only visited my house once back in 2008, is its extremely unlikely that either of them are responsible for this mysterious account. The only thing I can think of is if one of my mom's friend's kids played at my house. My mom frequently has company over (who happen to be mothers of young children/teenagers). It might be possible that one of these kids cleverly set up cover at my house and played... As you know I'm a college student, and thus don't spend much time at home anymore, with the exception of breaks such as Spring Break currently and the recent Winter Break, so I don't really know what's going on back at home when I'm gone. I admit this is a weak theory, but unfortunately I simply cannot give any other explanation. Kat, do you know how long this account was playing using my IP? I do not recognize any of the other listed IGNs, but it seems this person/persons had a decent career at Royals with 7 characters. It seems suspicious that no one noticed someone playing for probably at least a few weeks. Does there exist such a thing as IP stealing? This whole thing just doesn't seem right...
The account with the 6 players on it doesn't seem to have hacked at all. That account was active from the first day after the server wipe (October 1st 2013) until 12th March 2014 when lolMod01 was banned. This account shared the same ip, MAC (and birthday) as lolMod01, hence was also banned. The account with lolMod01 on it was created on 11th March 2014 and banned for hacking the following day. However, if it's your mother's friends's kids, why would they use your date of birth?
Update - have permanently banned you until any information comes to light to suggest/prove your innocence.
I will once again say I have no affiliation with any of the accounts listed above. From what you have said above, it seems that lolMod01 is the malicious runt in the litter. The birthday listed is my true birthday, and how the other account used it is beyond my knowledge. One possibility is that someone who knew me in real life (hence knew my birthday) registered and played under my IP. Similarly, it might be possible that the previous player was hacked, and a variety of events could have happened from there that would lead to a ban... All in all I argue that I am innocent of breaking any rules listed in the ToC. I feel that is it unfair to punish me for something I personally did not do.
I have given you as fair a chance as possible to explain things. I'm not sure what more we can do unless we any futher information surfaces.
Alright then... I guess I wont be playing Royals from this house ever again. Will I still be able to access the game from the other house at my university town?
Unless we find evidence that strongly suggests your innocence, you are banned regardless of where you log in from.
Hardly by the system. You were brought down by evidence from the database that someone using your date of birth, your computer and your home ip hacked on MapleRoyals and you haven't been able to furnish a reasonable explanation for this. Hardly what anyone could reasonably call "the system". I've already said that if further evidence comes to light, then we will take that into consideration. There really is nothing more that we can do at this point other than to advise you to increase the security of your computer so that nobody else can use it without your knowledge or consent, should that be what happened.
