Even if a supposed sister/cousin/brother/roommate said they did it, there's no proof that the one who hacked was them and not him as it was done on his home IP and his computer. Others have faced the same issue, there's simply no way to prove- and you're responsible for your computer/your account.

I agree this is irresponsibly on my part, however I'd still like to argue that placing a permanent ban upon me is unwarranted.
I understand that the ToC is in place to protect the integrity of the server and community, however, it's rigidity results in loopholes like the one I've fallen into.
It's unquestionable that the ToC and consequent actions by GM's have protected this game from malevolent individuals, but questions do arise when the same protocol harms innocent players that are unfortunate enough to be caught in the crossfire, such as myself.
If we step back a bit and look at things objectively, this whole situation would not have even started if I had not been so nosy about this. I first brought up this issue back In early December of 2014, but nothing really changed. The block remained here, but I was free to play from my other house.
Now again in March 2015, I returned to my permanent home and I sought the assistance of the GM's to discover the issue. I treated the GM's with respect and gave truthful information, and yet was rewarded with a permanent ban.
I hate to bring this up again, but the scandal involving Murker and the borrowed SCG a few months ago is another example of such loopholes in the ToC. I'm not here to argue who is guilty or not, but rather to argue that the lack of GM action in this event caused HUGE calamity within the server, simply because its outside the jurisdiction of the ToC.
Likewise, some wandering hacker/cheater could come about the next day but would stricken down with the fury of 1000 ban hammers within seconds. The incident left virtually no affect of the community or any other aspect of the server. Yet the GM's give themselves a pat on the back and call it a good day...
Now lets return to the issue at hand. As it stands now, I have been discovered as a dangerous criminal hacker by the ToC and thus am appropriately banned. However, had I kept my mouth shut, the dangerous criminal hacker that I am would log in from my university town and proceed to unleash havoc unto the server....

I simply ask for a more flexible definition of justice when cases like this are brought to the big table. After all, the ToC seeks to protect the server and the community, so that the players can enjoy the game safely knowing their online privileges and rights are protected.

I hate to burst your bubble but:
These three matching numbers are more than enough evidence to rule out that this is all a coincidence and that you probably hacked at one point. Even if it wasn't you and someone used your birthday, computer and IP to do all of this at your house you would still be banned because we simply cannot know for sure who is responsible for this in your household, so everyone associated with the household gets the blame.

That seems a bit too strict, is like saying I will ban the whole range of IP addresses because someone hacked once on one of those IPs even tho there a lot of other ppl who would be banned being innocent, also he mostly would play from another place so I think he would not have brought up the issue knowing that he would be banned, also, if he was going to hack, he would have done it from anywhere regardless of his location.

I hate banning someone who has come forward with honest information when they wouldn't have been banned had they not done so. Unfortunately, in this case, I wasn't really left with any option, as there's no reasonable explanation or information pointing to anyone else as being the culprit. =(

    I propose a compromise:
Lift the permanent ban on SoggyWaffles so that I may play again from his university town, but leave the block at my main house IP.
    Pros:
    • I am happy, and return about my merry business.
    • My Royals friends are happy
    • My guild is happy
    • The GM's are happy, the shroud of uncertainty and possibly guilt is lifted, and return about their merry business.
    • Effectively this incident never happened
    Cons:
    • Some GM's are not happy, since ToC protocol has been violated
    • - insert infinite amount of other ToC/GM repercussions -
I understand this is difficult for the GMs, since they have been following the ToC so rigidly for so long. I just wish you could see that these decisions aren't always 'a good thing' for the server, as demonstrated by this scandal I've unintentionally started...

They don't care how much people like you or how many friends you have. You tried hacking and, unfortunately for you, it caught up with you.

    Pity thread is pitiful.

r u fkn SRS m8? You people love to act like you have any fucking clue what you're talking about, when no one but the guy himself has anythig to do with this "scandal" I thought you were cool but apparently I was wrong. Nothing about some buddy-buddy ass person giving consent to having someone else take possession of a godly item for ANY amount of time is on a GM to work out. that person, and that person alone is responsible. Maybe he should've tried to get to know me a bit better before reporting me as "a good friend who betrayed me" and turning a large % of this community against me, either way it's said and done. farewell, fuck boy.
