General Make ships more mandatory, limit them to 3-5 minutes per ride instead

This server is literally called " the nostalgic MapleStory server " on gtop100. AND IT'S #1 ON THE LIST TOO. I bet 99% of the players here joined this server for a reason, because it's NOSTALGIC.

Also my purpose here was clear, did you check the videos i posted? You can't relate to them because you just said you are lonely type of person who travels alone so i get why you so much disagree on this. Sad thing you didn't really experience the old school ship flights, they were fun.

Screw this lol i wont be using forums after this, such mindless thing ever since i saw the RWT announcement lol. Go and play alone for another decade, might as well join retail maple?

 

Yeah, but nostalgia is different to everyone mate. If someone back in GMS bought teleport rocks with real money and used that, then coming to royals, buying teleport rocks and using those is nostalgia for them.
If using ships and talking to people is nostalgia to you, use ships and ask some friends or random players to tag along with you. Royals offers the opportunity, the tools, to experience nostalgia again. I'm sure you can get nostalgia here, just don't expect everyone else to appeal to your sense of nostalgia, that's all.

 

Doesn't really offer full nostalgia when it feels more like a cheat. You're one to talk anyways as a player who has always played alone? Nobody really bought vip rocks back in the days, those were hella expensive. Go away you're not really helping this case, i feel like i'm arguing with you and you only, there's a toxic vibe around you and i don't like you.

 

Making rides mandatory isn't appealing to like 99% of this player base. I personally love the ships, their theming, and the music. But, I wouldn't want to force others to do it just because I like it.

Also, the only ship that isn't a 5 minute ride is the orbis ship. Even though there's a wait time before the ship takes off, it's always 5 minutes for the smaller ones.

The whole point of those ships in original MapleStory wasn't just to get people from one place to another, it was to time gate people so they could be enticed to buy the teleport rocks for real money so they could skip the wait. I don't think many people would enjoy having to wait for ships in a private server when they don't have as much free time as when they were younger.

 

I've been doing hp quest lately and without fast travel ticket or rocks this would be a process close to dying from cancer.

If you want boat rides, go ahead and wait for ships.

i’ll set aside the core subject of speak, just to address the bigger issue here:

You made a suggestion - awesome. I can also relate to your feelings, but suggesting is one thing, getting mad for hearing the other side is another.
Not sure for how long you’ve been here, doesn’t seem much, but listen to other players who has been here long enough to tell you they have issue with your suggestion.

The last part of that “whatabout” of yours - reasoning a claim based on whatever it is you do or not doing is not what makes it rational.
If you miss the social interactions of this game, you’ve got guilds channels where you may find lots of people chilling & ready to chat whenever.

I already dropped this idea, idk why it's still being commented at. I asked GM to delete this useless thread. I already have a guild but i just quit this other server that had ship flights but i just thought it would be more fun with a more populated server. I mean other servers don't really have issues with this but Royals does seem to be in a constant " hurry " lol


Can people just drop this idea already?
