I think for the community in general it would be a very good update to have a Minimal Duration for buffs. There are so many small differences between buffs in general within a job, wich personally i find very irritating cuz alot of times you have those buffs on a macro and when the shortest starts blinking you immediately rebuff them all… takes away alot of fighting time here is a list of skills i think need an update: Blind Hamstring Power Guard Pickpocket Meso Gaurd Meso Up Shadow Partner Shadow Stars (I might forget a few) Either you make them all 200sec or 210 And i think alot of our community will appreciate this
After playing WoW and other games were buffs simply last 30 minutes, have max-mana upkeep or whatever and then coming back to this game. Omg yes. Beside that there are reasons the buff durations in this game are so unbelievebly short its mostly the early level of these skills that I cannot really get into. You get this buff that increases your dps by like 0.69% and it lasts 10 seconds. Imagine you play this game and don't leech until bossing. You can't wait to grind your heart coming week to get 2 more levels. Now the dps increases by 4.20% and it lasts 60 seconds. Honestly when considering buffing animation time it's likely not even increases exp/h. In my opinion there is not really a valid reason to have classes with buffs that are 'mandatory' including, SE, HS, Haste, HB, SI, Attack Booster to last under 10 minutes, yes including HS. "But what about all those noobs that now go play the game for 10 minutes" "Fuck them, let them have their exp" I honestly cannot remember how long these buffs actually last but I feel that mw20 is the only buff that feels having an acceptable duration. "But what about these damned NL's that now also get cheaper Shadow Partner" "Fuck those noobs that actually care about that 100k meso/h, let them save that 50k meso/h" If all buffs could last 30 minutes, idgaf. Would be great. Edit: If you are reasoning something like "But it would make the muling-meta even worse!" Vast majority of bossing in this game is holding shift for 10 minutes, eat another apple (stoppers too much clicking for me). Watch youtube, netflix or whatever you have runing in your incognito tabs. Check phone. Hold right-shift key to change it up. Notice that I have no idea if I had Beholder on during this time, pray for good drops and cry.
buffs that last 10min+ isnt what im aiming for but everything below 3min is.. But i also get what you mean.
I am against raising duration of skills that have a cost to activate (not mana related ones). They were balanced in ways to make the class more inline with the power of other classes. For example, Star recharge prices were increased across the board several years back to combat with the power imbalance between Nightlord's and the rest due to their incredible meso saving skill "Alchemist," allowing Nightlords to spend less money on attack pots than ever other class. They should not increase the shadow star duration due to this. However, I have also suggested in the past: Super Transformation does not get dispelled, perhaps they can let shadow partner not get dispelled.
Nah. This suggestion is really only for multiclient bosses imo. For example, of all those MG is probably the most important buff. I like that it has its own duration. Keeps you on your toes and also doesn't run out with everything else. Really don't see the need to homogenize different skills just because of convenience. They do different things at different stages in the classes for different classes, which makes playing them different experiences and different attentive rotations Then again I'm kind of a purist
I think this poll should really have a 'I don't agree' option. I'm against this because losing dps to buff is just part of the game.
