can we pls have some a lot (maybe 25+) "save spots" in zak jq where if you reach that point once you can just continue on from it? i think i can do all of it just not at once btw the alternate quest is too long for me lol
can we have a challenge mode instead <4mins + drop = tele'd out then we get 1 more EOF per exchange bossing is kinda boring at times, i would rather have high skill JQ all year round that would incentivize the git gud life
update: i sucked it up and did the alternate quest it's really not too hard, i highly recommend it, far easier than trying to do jq
Okay... So these are my thoughts in case it's helpful. The first time is always the most difficult for everybody. When I did it, I happened to be on holidays IRL at the time so I had no big time pressure and I had friends to help me. After the first time, you'll probably start to realize it's not really about skill but about recognizing each obstacle as a mini puzzle or pattern. There's what like.. 20 or 30 total? For each obstacle there is a pattern and at least one timeframe you can progress, where you literally can't fall if you don't mess up. Once you learn to recognize these patterns it's just a matter of not making a silly mistake like failing a jump, which a few are unavoidable. Requires some patience or concentration kind of like reading a book or playing an instrument or something. I get that it's not that easy but it's definitely one of those things that just can't be made easier... because it'd just be lame and rub people the wrong way. Just to get some perspective, people have grinded this JQ 100s of times before to grind EoFs and the best times are 1-2 minutes. There are much harder JQs than this. Also, people used to do this in old school MS with tiny hp pools, manual potting, and pots were expensive. So, it's really not that bad unless someone plays with bad ping or something which is why the other option exists.
The JQ becomes relatively easy once you check out the most common and thorough tutorials on youtube from old school maple. At least that's how I did on my 4 different characters on which i needed a helm, and it didn't take long at all. Just pause the video where you're stuck, and check out what they do before you continue the road so to speak. Minimized window and tutorial right next to it if you prefer, just keep calm and follow their steps/jumps and it'll be done before you know it. Keeping calm is interestingly so important, since our nerves and adrenaline can have an easy way to get in our way instead if not channeled the right way (or if you're anything like I used to be ). I noticed you have finished the alternative quest, congrats for that mate! Still wanted to give my 2 cents of opinion though for anyone who needs and stumbles on it
