Does anyone remember how they found out about MapleRoyals and why they decided to stay?

Watching how the years go by, but I honestly don't remember, I just know that I decided to stay because of the difficult and nostalgic theme that we have now, in addition to the variable content on occasions it is good and carefully studied, even the harshness of the rules is what makes it more attractive.

I took very after a long, very long break of GMS. I got back on and noticed how it turned into a BIG Pay2Win game, and there was so much going on in the game. Left and googled "Games like Maplestory." Weeks searching, then found out about private serves. Tried a few... but none met the expectations of old MS. Found Royals in 2015, and never looked back. Love it! Regardless of me being super social in the game, never joined a guild or met friends LOL. But I'm still in love.

 

Now that you mention it, I left GMS for that same reason, with NX you were already a pro player, you bought cubes like crazy and according to pious statistics they gave you % of crit/range/break defense/stats, quite apart from the nebulity and the power star, the game was practically broken and it lost the sense of the classic that we all love, after that when I left it, if I remember correctly I was in a GMS facebook group and someone posted something about Royals, already remembering Well, I started playing it! DUDE! Once they added the cubes, I was so over it. At that point, it wasn't even about luck. It was about money. Love how Royals you can play the money game, or can you legit train to level and vibe. I love the interchangeable gameplay. A few years ago, I was a Free Market Hermit LOL! #FreeMarketButton But now, I'm just striving to level up and grind. Never past level 80 something I believe, so I want to attempt that!

 

I don't really remember how I discovered royals but the last time I played GMS was around summer 2013 (been playing since 2007 ) when I quit for good after kanna, hayato and shade too if I recall. although I loved those two sengoku characters, I didn't understand a single thing about new items and content. besides, I was playing alone too.

I jumped in right after wipe around january 2014 with an irl friend who didn't play for more than 3 days. I kept playing forever because of the maplestory version I used to enjoy, very few people playing which made me feel relevant and somehow part of a family. I've seen this server grow over the years and I always feel good about it, despite changes or even drama. I've taken long breaks too, but always find myself coming back to it.
