Suggestions for Custom Content

    I would like to start of by saying that yes, v62 is nostalgic to players who have played GMS in the past. However, our nostalgic experience on this server can be enhanced with more original custom content; making MapleRoyals different from all other servers. Because the dev team has the power to make whatever they want, here are some great ideas for custom content that I believe other players would enjoy.

    1) Server Boss Events
    - Cake/Pie Boss, Fake Pap, Fake Zak, Christmas Snowman, etc.
    - Damage done to players/damage done to boss is percentage based.
    - lvl 4 newbies can fight and party up with lvl 100+ players and fight in unity.
    - should be hosted in an FM room dedicated for this event
    - These should be hosted by GMs, and not automated (just my opinion)

    2) More Custom NPC's in FM
    - Someone as simple as a shop for certain items
    - Someone where a player can pay a certain amount of mesos to put an item up for auction, and for an hour or so, people can bid on it, then once the time is up, the mesos/items are dispersed accordingly. then the next person can do another item, etc. (this is kind of like eBay)
    - Someone who can ask a riddle and you pay a certain amount of mesos to enter in an answer and GM will select the first person who gets it right? (this can be talked about more in detail)
    - Someone who can take a party of 4 or more and pay a certain amount of mesos to fight a mini boss of their choice

    I have more, but i'll leave it at that for now.

    3) Monster Maps
    - Take some popular maps (with only two portals on both sides like HHG1, Kerning Subway 1 (blue bubblings map), gs2, a skele map, etc. and link them together with custom mobs. (ive done this before with a friend when we had the v55 OdinMS source)
    - the portal from the FM should lead into HHG1 (lvl 1-10 green/blue/red snails, slimes, orange mush and dark stump)
    Then the portal to the left of HH1, should lead into the Kerning Blue Bubbling Map (lvl 11-20 pigs, red ribbon pigs, octopus, green mushroom, axe stump)
    Then the portal to the left of that map should lead into Sky Terrace <2> (lvl 21-30 jr. necki, horny mush, zombie mush, wild boar, cactus, flower fish, and drummy bunny)
    Then the portal to the left of that should be El Nath: Snowy Hill (lvl 31-40 ligator, leatty, tick, jr. wraith, bloctopus, lorang, and toy trojan) and so on all the way up to lvl 200.

    These maps/mobs were just some examples to help you visualize what my thought process is.

    These are just some suggestions of things that I don't see in other private servers and would really boost the likability of this server. Also, if you guys are willing to go this route of creating essentially your own world on this server (with what i just talked about above) think of it this way; the FM is like a lobby for all the players, so why not make that the center of the game? All the normal NPC's for example the Town Job, 2nd Job Instructor, and the 3rd Job (in El Nath) and put them all in one FM map like FM 20 or something. and then For the Dark Crystal aspect of the third job, put the tombstone NPC at the very top of a jump quest map and just have the 3rd job NPC guy warp you there. and potion shops, hair, cometic, Part Quest NPC's, Regular quest NPC's, etc. categorize them and put them all in an FM room by category. One room will be all the job related NPC's. Another will be Party Quest Related NPC's and so on. For example, If you were to have the killing quest NPC from sleepywood (the one who asks you to kill 99 of certain monsters) make sure you place those mobs accordingly into the custom maps so people are able to do the same nostalgic quest, but in a completely new and original environment.

    The reason behind all of this is to bring the community together. Having the typical maple world all spread out is too much for the 50-100 players that are actively online. This would take a lot of time to do, but the fun part is coming up with all these great ideas and bringing them to life, and to make something that you can call your own, is a great feeling. I honestly really hope you guys can do something like this (or at least some sort of variation) of these ideas.

    This took me like an hour to write/come up with, just so ya know.

    A seller in FM brings me back to the subject I argumented for a month ago, and that was about the advancement of having the door skill as a Bishop, where you'll be in same league as a Bishop, no matter what class you are. In the end, you'll still be able to sell the equipments in FM and return safely from where you were. (Since we got the Trade function where we get warped to FM.)
    And yes, I'm still denying the shit out of it.

    The core part of your ideas is to have most NPCs and gameplay in general be based around FM and/or FM-based and linear customised maps?

    No thanks.

    How would these suggestions that follow enhance the nostalgia?

    I'm typing this on my phone so I hope you don't mind me taking the easy way; I'll post my answers within the quote using bolded text.
    I would like to know your reasoning as to how it would enhance nostalgia and/or gameplay. This server is attempting to be a low-rate GMS v62 nostalgic experience, not a "here's everything in one map"-private server.
