Hi guys, When trying to press and hold the CTRL/SHIFT/ALT buttons to make a continuous action, the action only occurs once and that's it. For example, if I want to press ALT so I can jump continuously, or CTRL to attack continuously, then the action only happens once. How can I fix this? Sticky Keys and Filter Keys options are off: I came across a similar thread that was never resolved: cant long-press shift\ctrl\alt while playing through my laptop | MapleRoyals I have an ASUS Zenbook laptop, Windows 10, if it matters... Thanks
You can turn on the setting of Repeat Keys and adjust the cooldown to lowest possible 0.3 seconds But I would strongly recommend getting an external keyboard instead
Isn't there a built-in option that resolves this? Playing with an external keyboard would be really uncomfortable
As far as know, this is a hardware issue with some laptops which I personally encounter too. Like Dave said, using an external keyboard helps as a workaround.
You can reduce the delay of repeat keys even further in the registry if 0.3 is too slow. Should make note of the changes you make in case you need to go back to your old settings. https://gaming.stackexchange.com/questions/344489/cant-long-press-alt-or-ctrl-only-once-at-a-time
