There are upsides to it. Depending on the new content, not wiping could cause a small group of people to monopolise certain things (Pink Bean for instance, only a handful of people would be able to do it). That is never a good thing. There are other reasons, but I'll write those out in a more detailed manner later on. I do plan on making a thread about it.

A wipe would change nothing. It would still be the people that have managed to level washed characters the fastest that would be able to monopolize PB until others catch up.
Honestly, everyone who asks for a wipe because others had a headstart and they can't catch up are just slackers. I've seen plenty of people join and get extremely high leveled in a matter of 1 or 2 months (ahem Chance). If you want to become strong or want to not be "lower class" as OP suggested, then make it happen.
I would (or at least I wouldn't mind), if it's coupled with an increase in content And I know a few others who wouldn't mind either
But the gap would (or should, at least) be a lot smaller. It's not a necessary thing, I'm just saying it would be an option.
From what has been said a wipe may not be needed for new content to introduced, it probably would take much longer for content to come since it means they would have to create a new client.

No, thank you! To add a bit more; Wipes are generally never healthy for a server. They're usually the last resort only put in action when the poo has well & truly hit the fan & no amount of scented wipes & disinfectant can clean up the mess. I'm content with my poo-free Royals life at the moment & I don't believe a wipe would be beneficial at all. What would be the objective of the wipe? Just to level the playing field? Not a valid reason. Your playing field is synonymous with your effort input. It's not the responsibility of the player base, so they shouldn't have to bear that burden.
As a fantasy or something since Matt already said No wipes, also the majority would most likely be against it. Why would wiping the server create more equality? It's easier than ever to get high level, * High value for most gach items * Lots of leech sellers (expensive now tho) * More people than ever playing here (my assumption) I started as a NL without funds (only char) I could Hp wash, I didn't even gach, or merch and I bought leech. Must say I got help from several people and that's part of the good community here, why kill it? If anything wiping would create more imbalance. Edit: I would never get high level again
Same situation as me. I started out as a NL, had help, merched a little bit here and there. Managed to HP wash. I honestly don't think a wipe is necessary (and yes I'm well aware, the staff said there will be no wipe what so ever).
Never have I seen a wipe happen in any MMORPG. (Wipes should only be used if data cannot be restored in any means.) So why have a wipe in a private server? Aren't we supposed to be as original as possible? Just dumb, I'm saying no to this suggestion.
