Inspired by some incidents I've witnessed such as people losing their equips when entering event maps, and even some incidents on my part (now I try to cover everything with NX so it doesn't happen on the equipped items inventory at least) Curious about the reception for this idea. I guess people who frequently drop trade equips might not like it.
There's an item in cash shop called Item Guard, but it's not actually available to buy. Would be great if we could have that. I hate to admit it, but I'm one of those people you're talking about I accidentally dropped my xbow in Cake Boss while trying to switch to fruit knife. Luckily someone was kind enough to give it back. I'm not even sure how it happened, I just tried to double click but I guess I accidentally clicked slightly outside the box or something and game registered it as a drop. Was a traumatic experience for me I would definitely use this Item Guard if it were to be released.
Item Guard did cross my mind, the issue I have with it is people may have to move certain equipment between characters on a regular basis (cape/glove/shoe, overalls/tops/bottoms, swords between hero/paladin, mage equipment between mage classes). And I'm very glad you got the item back, many looters are not so compassionate.
Staff does discuss a way to protect items like the item lock/guard idea but aren't really convinced about a warning message for all kinds of equip dropping. Let's use this thread to keep the discussions in one place for now.
