Hi everyone, I recall playing this game quite a long while ago. I think it was back when there were no pirates and you could only play explorers so quite old. Any ideas how old this maplestory version is (as in what time period was this in the grand scheme of things)? I'm assuming this will be harder than the real life version nowadays (which is atrociously boring). Any tips for starting off? With the relatively small group of players how common/rare are guilds? I'm expecting the community to be more closely packed than before, so here's hoping. If by any chance there are guilds/people who want to party with a new character that'd be cool. Should be called salohacin in game (assuming it's free).
Welcome to the server! To answer your questions (in order): This version (v0.62) dates back to late 2008. There's Pirates, but other than that, only other Explorer classes. One could say this is harder, but it's more accurate to say that it's not pay2win, unlike today's MapleStory. It won't be possible to get yourself to LV. 120 in a day, but it's not too hard, really. Just start grinding, get to 21 for KPQ and get to 2nd Job, then head to Ludi for training or Evil Eyes. At 51, you can LMPQ and train at Ghost Ship. There's training guides on the forum, check those out. For money, save up NX for gachapon at LV. 50, OR use them to buy AP resets. They sell for 11m each at the moment. There's loads of guilds around. To be fair, the community's not that small... You can apply to guilds on the forum to join or just ask around, make some friends in the FM and you'll get in one pretty quick. (self-advertisement lol: you're welcome to apply to Dollars, the guild I'm in. It's not super active at the moment, but we're always willing to help, and we normally accept newcomers, unless we have a good reason not to! Here's the thread: http://royals.ms/forum/threads/dollars-™.19018/) Other than that, I hope you enjoy your time here, feel free to add me in-game, my IGN's Flirt. See you around!
Thanks! Boy I just started and it's surprising how different it is. Finding green headband from a snail felt like a small victory
