QoL | add a command to show boss respawn time

    Hi :)

    I believe adding a command to show the respawn time for current channel's map's boss :)D).
    It will help alot of people from going channel surfing till they find a boss that was killed.
    Will help with all people needed bosses for XP, questing and all.

    You go X bosses map, use command and know if its like 1h, 2h or 5 min respawn time.
    Will go a long long way in QoL way.

    I don't think that solves the problem of needing to find the boss

    It will likely decrease the rate of the boss being found easily due to the command being used to do more NX-farming
    Or you intend to propose something to deter the NX-farming?

    Yes it will be used to more NX farming, but it will also help people looking to farm bosses for quests.
    Example, olaf has many boss kills needed, and you can spend hours looking for a single boss because you dont know when it will spawn.
    4th job manon and griffin farming.

    Maybe put it like max 20 min timer so to deter farming.
    Like if its within 20 minutes of spawn mark it as "spawning soon" or something.
    Just so people who really need the boss will be able to cut the time needed to look for the boss.
    Maybe just 30 minutes intervals as well, like:
    if its 1 h and 38 minutes - "boss respawn time is more than 1 hour and 30 minutes"
    for 2h and 29 minutes - "boss respawn time is more than 2 hours"
    and so on in 30 min intervals, and at 20/30 min mark its "boss is respawning soon"

    This way, farming people would not know when the boss actually spawns, this will allow questing people to wait out the "respawning soon", and even party up to get the kill for the quest, rather then wasting hours just channel surfing to look for the boss..

    True, NX farming is a thing, but also casual players who just need their quests in.

    Perhaps enable the command only to those bosses who have quests on them, like manon, king clann, faust and so on.
    Or enable it only on low lv bosses.
    Those two option will be able to be NX farmed, but they drop mostly low NX amount so it will not be that profitable.

    The main problem I'm presenting is:
    Those with quests can possibly spend hours just LOOKING for the bosses, and I want to have something that avoids that.

    Be it a respawn timer, a one-time untradeable item to summon those bosses (at their map), or something else that will cut the time required (as in all QoL improvements).

    For the item, if you spend 2-3 hours to grind a char to lv 20 just to one-time summon 4 bosses that give you only 150-250 NX each, then 1. you have a problem, and 2. you deserve it :D
    I mean.. 2h grind ANYWHERE will give you more meso's worth than 600-2k nx total..
    And if you spend the 20-30 hours to grind a char to 4th job where you get the manon and griffin summon, just for 300-10k nx from them, then 1. you really have a problem, and 2 you really really deserve it :D

    Yea, but the problem is that if more people hunt NX by using the commands = less boss for people to kill for quests

    It's likely players would bypass this by creating characters to just hold the quest active if the command is locked behind quest progress

    I do support ideas or ways of letting players achieve quest kills easier, but the suggested custom command doesn't seem to be solving the main problem of completing the quests (boss kills) easier

    Then what about the special quest exclusive item?
    like olaf quest 1 bag summons the 4 olaf's bosses
    olaf quest 2 bag summons the 4 second olaf's bosses

    and all other bag specific bosses.
    Or other one-time summon and untradeable items?

    If players will spend hours just getting a new char to get those summons the hours invested are much much more then the actual benefit, so I believe it will not work for farming NX from these..
    I mean, olaf quest is lv 20, 40, 60 and so on
    4th job is 120
    Only players who would already spend HOURS just to grind those bosses will create new chars just to grind them, meaning it would be the same more or less grind per boss.

    You may amend the title + original post accordingly if wish to submit a new idea (such as Summon Sacks or untradeable boss spawner) to tackle the problem

    Kinda difficult to have a discussion if we are not sticking with a specific topic as the suggested solution

    The current idea of summon sacks or untradeable boss spawner seems very custom, shall wait for input from other players on how they feel about it

    Personally I didn't have much of an issue finding those bosses. For all the olaf quest sets, there are more tasks than required, meaning you don't need to be fixated on one particular boss when you could also search for others that will count. For those later in the game, like Griffey, I don't think it's too difficult to eventually find one within your next 20 levels of progression anyways. When I was searching for Griffey, I just scanned once every few hours for a day and moved on to other tasks/training in between until I eventually found one. There was one time I coordinated with someone else hunting so we could party and cover more ground, and it worked out pretty well.

    The campaign was designed such that hunting for the boss is part of the challenge. If everyone was given a free summoning bag, then it's pretty much a free task. Those bosses aren't that hard. My counter-suggestion would be to implement a system that slightly reduces the respawn time of a boss when a player is actively killing in the map, if that's possible. A lot of the lower level bosses especially are in a pretty decent grinding location too. Something like that would also have to be tweaked to prevent abuse.
