First of all, I'm not necessarily arguing for or against the bundle. Now, getting into things...

I agree with John's statement. You can't make the "unfair for new vs old players" argument because then things will always remain stagnant. What about players back in the day who bought 100 ap resets for 5m each? Maybe even one super rich player who bought 1000 ap resets for 5m each? Is it unfair that they got to spend half as much as players do now? I understand that it was AP reset inflation that caused the change in price and not any direct changes in AP reset NX prices, but is that any different? The red envelope event also affected prices, and arguably had a similar effect as discounting NX items across the board, artificially injecting extra NX into the economy. Does that mean the red envelope event was unfair to players who had bought ap resets or chaos/white scrolls for higher prices before the event? Again, this doesn't necessarily justify the "for" bundle argument, but it doesn't justify the "against" argument either.

As for the argument that the staff has "no reason" to support HP washing, they don't have a reason to be against it either. In fact, they don't really have a reason to do anything besides what was already in v62 maple other than to appeal to players. You can't argue against (or for) the bundle using that logic. The staff didn't have a reason to include Krex, Magatia, etc. They did it for the players, because there was player demand, and it was a reasonable request.

HP washing is a luxury to some extent, yes, but it is necessary for some classes to boss efficiently. Also, making a bundle may "water down" past players' achievements, but would it make it THAT much easier? A person who is washing is going to be spending a lot of mesos/NX either way. In fact, you could compare the situation to the first person who buys an extremely rare weapon for very inflated prices, then a few months down the road it becomes more common to the point that a good number of players have that item. Past players would have the distinction of having finished washing beforehand (and in fact, maybe for even cheaper than current players due to the AP reset inflation happening, and past players who are currently in the process of washing would benefit from this, and have benefited greatly from the mp washing discovery (just look at Chris/Chance). It's not really unfair, it's just change.

On the flip side, people haven't been especially complaining about how hard HP washing is, it has always been a hard and time-consuming process. There hasn't been a huge player demand for cheaper NX prices for AP resets. The most reasonable suggestion, IMO, is the suggestion to create a bundle of AP resets that isn't discounted so that people don't have to click 100 times to buy 100 resets. Especially since people buy them all the time.

I understand both arguments here, and lots of examples have been given about comparable temporary events/changes. However something like this would be a permanent change which is what makes it quite a bit different. I'm personally not in favour of implementing a permanent discount for buying multiple game-altering items this far into the lifespan of the server. However I am in favour of there being bundles of AP resets without any discount.

    4 hp per wash. ~2k hp at 18x base, that's 28000 hp/4=7000 ap resets *10m/reset=70bil

not even including the cost of doublewashing ap resets

The only reason a discount was suggested was there to be an actual benefit for purchasing ap resets rather than gach/tp rocks/safety charms.

It's highly likely the price won't drop anyways, it'll just have more in the market to sell to other people.

Talking of which, @Earth wants to HP wash a mage and would like to get advice on whether or not to max out the skill max mp in regards to HP washing. If anybody has good advice for him/her, please pm them.

    Apologies for quick offtopic here!

I dont think max mp increase currently affects the amount you remove when MP washing (so it's worth maxing), but I'm pretty sure matt considers that a bug because it SHOWS that it's supposed to affect the amount.

I also agree with Matt in that including a discounted price on such an important item isnt such a good idea. However, bundles of AP resets that would be an equivalent price would be a good way for people to buy a large amount at once. Imagine if you saved like 310k NX and wanted to buy AP resets.. Clicking that button 100 times would get annoying,. Instead, there could be a bundle of 10 and 30 just like there is for gacha tickets.

I'm not so sure about that as I've tested it nearly a year ago on a toon (leveled just to try it out) I lost less MP on resetting (I could be wrong too, it's been a year)

Would be cool if a gm could check this out for us.

lel it doesn't matter. She doesn't do much but sell leech. 70bil/55m/hr is 1272 hours that's 53 days.

    Eh let's throw in 25m/hr npc, 70bil/80m/hr, 875 hours, 36 days.

Well, diverting the conversation back towards topic and away from an accusative fight, I think we all agree that an AP reset bundle without discount would make life alot easier, can be relatively easily be implemented and won't really have any negative connotations?
