When you use the item sorter it only moves all the items in ur inventory up and does not sort it by item type (I find that annoying because I want all my scrolls to be together and with such a big inventory its hard to do). It also makes it so you cant use skills unless you use a potion or relog.
Okay, now this is because we had a problem with that function.. I'll be working today to fix the problem and that the use fits the items by type, Thanks Keiver.
