Finally got around to redownloading royals after I lost my flash drive and now every time I try to start the client, I either get an error code : -2147287038 (Unknown error 0x80030002) or error code : -2147024809 (The parameter is incorrect) but I do know that the second one does have to do with the fact that I run windows 8.1 and I have also tried the lolwut launcher. Still get the same results
Well after re-downloading it about 3 times, now the game will start up, but every single time after it reaches the screen that says wizet with the arrow, the game crashes and it gives me a message saying error code: -2147287038 (Unknown error 0x80030002).
I do always get that when I am wz editing and I forgot to close my .wz editor. I assume your problem would be that client fails to read one of your .wz files for some reason and thus crashes the client. Can you go to your MapleRoyals folder and make sure you have the following .wz files: -Etc.wz -Item.wz -String.wz -Character.wz -Map.wz -Skill.wz -Sound.wz -Mob.wz -UI.wz -Quest.wz -Effect.wz -Base.wz -Morph.wz -Tamingmob.wz -NPC.wz -Reactor.wz -List.wz It should be 17 in total. If you have them all and you run MR from the same folder, than I am honestly unsure why this happens to you.
honestly i have no clue whats going on anymore. it all just fixed itself after i gave it about an hour break lol.
