Okay, I think these might be coming back... Been receiving some feedback in game as well. I think, those who struggle meeting HT boss party demands or finding a bossing friends can benefit from these runs again. And I honestly miss hosting these a lot! But would like to have some feedback from you guys too! The new HT meta is quite different from how it was when these runs were taking place. It will be difficult to specifically look for mule classes in runs, or blocking entries/recruiting specific classes are not exactly aligned with BlackCats' inclusive attitude. How I'm thinking about this is to tweak a little the increased mule point (maybe reducing a little bit seeing the need for that might increase in case the necessary classes don't sign up). Including also *what mules can you bring* question in the sign up form. I'm also open to the idea of myself creating necessary mules (seduce and se can be handled with my current attackers anyway, so only a crash and/or bishop). Next point is the already-accumulated points by old runners. I'm personally against the idea of erasing those accumulated points and starting over. There's a lot of effort and time invested to gain those points and there aren't any popularly claimed books in the storage anyway. But since this is a community run system, I'd like to hear from you as well. If there's an overwhelming request to erase the existing points, for new members that might join in who might end up at a disadvantage when it comes to claiming books, I can do that too. I could also implement a newer rule that the older members have to at least participate in a run (or a certain amount of runs) in order to be eligible to claim a book, giving everyone an equal chance. And lastly, I've been away from the market for quite a bit. Please let me know if you find any of the old point requirements for book claims outdated and in need of a change. Please let me know what you think about these two topics. I'm very excited to have these runs return and maybe realise my other ideas on BlackCats in the future as well. Pretty much every book except maple warrior and Genesis are worthless now. MW is ~2b, with around a 1/3 drop rate from HT based off uglee's 100 HT solos. Gen is 800m-1b, with around a 1/5 drop rate. The next highest book is Triple Throw at like 60m max.
Thanks for this! After receiving more feedback on discord and in game, here's what I've come up with as possible upcoming changes... Books claim point requirements I might be changing the point requirements like below: Tier S (requires minimum of 80 / 60 Points in the Mastery Book Column) : Maple Warrior 20. Tier A (requires minimum of 65 Points in the Mastery Book Column) : Genesis 30 Tier B (requires minimum of 20 Points in the Mastery Book Column) : Triple Throw 30 Tier C (requires minimum of 10 Points in the Mastery Book Column) : Blizzard 30, Meteor Shower 30 Tier D (requires minimum of 5 Points in the Mastery Book Column) : Berserk 30, Enrage 30, Heaven's Hammer 30, Air Strike 30, Time Leap 30, Smokescreen 30, Snipe 30, Concentrate 30 Basically compared to how it was before, Berserk 30 is added to the lowest tier level, mage books staying slightly higher (within range of 1 additional run), Triple Throw 30 being in mid-range (but still accessible after 3 runs), and increasing the point requirement for Genesis 30, keeping Maple Warrior 20 requirements the same. The reason for this drastic increase in Genesis 30 is considering the rare drop rate, while being the most demanded book, it needs to act as a challenge, enough to attract new players but also acting as a point sink. It unfortunately has to be a point sink as that's the only claimable off-class book worth enough mesos to make some profit, making it the only desirable book in the vault. In order to have different players claiming the book, creating some competition. Triple Throw and Blizzard used to also be profitable, attracting players to claim them and not only go for Genesis, but with the current prices, I don't see it happening very often unless it's a necessary claim for an attendee's other characters. Muling When it comes to mules, I have to admit that mules are really a necessity in HT runs. They used to be "nice-to-have" while now they've become a requirement in boss runs. To adapt to this new meta, and to make sure there's always the necessary classes in all parties attending. I'm considering adding "What mules can you bring" question to the sign up form, reducing the mule point bonus from 150% to 110%, excluding hosts as hosts won't receive any additional point bonuses for any reason. As more people nowadays have mules they can bring to runs, I'm worried having a big bonus like 150% will create unnecessary competition for players to bring mules. To add to this rule, in situations where multiple attendees volunteering to bring the same certain needed mule with the need for the mule being lower, the player with lesser amount of points can bring it, making the points competition tighter. (example: When there's a need for 1 more Paladin in the run for Crash, and 2 people are volunteering bringing a Crash Mule to the run, the player with lesser points will be allowed to bring a mule and receive 110% of the points.) Existing points And lastly, when it comes to existing points, as I've mentioned before I'm against deleting them since there are still a number of players from the older BCHT days still actively playing and has shown interest. However, to avoid creating a major advantage towards new comers, players with existing points (even 0.5 points) will need to attend at least 5 runs prior to claiming any book including Maple Warrior 20. I believe this is only fair as 5 runs will get the player to 45 points, giving older runners a slight edge compared to new comers when it comes to claiming Genesis as compensation and reward for their efforts from back then, while giving new comers still a reason to join the runs and not feel discouraged seeing people with massive points. Please let me know how these ideas sound for you, would really appreciate any type of feedback from both old BCHT runners as well as new-comers. Let me explain! This is a point-system community run. So the splits aren't shared among runners but for each run, you get points. The books are kept in storage where with the points you accumulate, you'll be able to claim the books all to yourself for free. While anything else that drops besides books (so HTP, NX, Egg, MonsterCard) are also claimed through a separate point count, which are claimable on the run itself. I'm not currently adding you to the party list, as knowing this you might change your mind. Let me know if you confirm on signing up or if you'd like to take back your sign up. so if i understand correctly, it's 6 points per run (for completing each pre head or tail and etc), and i dont get anything for the runs (except xp ofc), but i can collect these points and whenever i reach to like 10 runs (which is 60 points), i can claim a book (lets say 60 points for mw20), correct?
Your premise is correct but the numbers are wrong. Yes, you will collect points as you run, then will be able to claim any book with those points. There are certain exceptions and details regarding book claims which you can find in the front page. Upon completing a run, you'll get 9 points for Mastery Books and 8 points for HTP/Egg/NX/Monster Card. You can accumulate the points and when you have enough, you can claim any book you'd like to claim. (again see details for points and book claims from page 1). Hope this helps!!
