I am dying for there to be a npc all button. there are so many maps where ur equips are completely full in only 10mins and i already have carpal tunnel lmao. Any chance the devs would implement a sell all button to inventory so if u want u can npc all equips and etc? Ty all wonder what you guys think. i Believe a great quality of life improvement for us poor mages who can only farm all day.
Judging by all the players who dropped their gzhelms last summer, I'm looking forward to all of the "I NPC-alled and hit confirm 5B worth of washing gear and I was too sleepy to notice" threads
Go to the character issues thread and search "white scroll" If there's an NPC-all button even with a warning box people will do it, either because they're tired or stoned, or because of a language barrier, or because they simply forgot to equip or store their valuable item. There's already reports of people doing this even with manual item-by-item selling, which is why we have a buyback command in the first place.
This is not an excuse, since we can already mistakenly npc valueable items, there is no difference here, if npcing didnt exist and he was to pupose releasing npcing today then everyone would complain and report for selling their items by a mistake? this is absurd For grinders and leech sellers this is an amazing idea that I would take a bit more seriously, it is potentially a massive qol that can make grinding way more enjoyable, it can be looked at as an advanced tool, if you are not responsible enough, just don't use it. Yes I know we can not control people if they can not control themselves but because some players are irresponsible I do not see why this should affect the people that are responsible.
Such warnings are useless, because humans just learn to automatically click yes without thinking about it.
The ultimate QoL move in this case is to significantly reduce the value of equips but proportionally increase raw meso drops, then farmers and leechers can just set all of the trash equips on pet ignore and only keep the good stuff. It would take a lot of analysis to figure out the correct amounts, but it would be significantly easier to actually implement and there's no risk of people losing items. (But like most QoL changes, this would hurt the nostalgia of equips actually having a decent sell value and people would probably complain that it feels bad even though they'd be getting the same amount of mesos per hour)
This idea is also great but like you said there is no win win situation here regardless of the path, there is always something to complain about(in this case loss of nostalgia), so the way I see it, might as well bring something to praise and that will make most players enjoy playing more.
I think also, this is trying to solve a bit of a "first world" problem. My equip inventory never filled nearly as quickly in GMS, and that was even though it was smaller!
Tutorial to how sell faster at NPC Keep your finger in "Y" Click 1 block of your equip Doble click on "Sell item" with your mouse Enjoy a fastest way to sell This actually work awesome for pepes farmers
This is the reason why a NPC All Button wouldn't work. But I think it might be possible to create a work around. There's two things that Staff would need to do: 1. Make a "Sell Item" Button - you'd be able to hold Sell item button and NPC Chat(+ [Y] key) to NPC stuff instead of left clicking 100+ times while holding NPC Chat 2. Buyback no longer costs you 5 mil and instead only cost you the price of the item (+ Tax)
I don't think this suggestion is viable without implementing the item lock idea that I've seen suggested before. Just speaking personally, all of my characters end up with equips that sit in inventory and are only used occasionally, or I'm planning on selling in a shop later. I don't want to accidentally NPC those because I misclicked on the new Sell All button and thought I was clicking the regular Sell button. The confirmation window wouldn't help in that case since I thought I was clicking the right button. I wouldn't trust Royallers with a Sell All button (myself included). Like pragmasaurus mentioned, this community has proven itself to be pretty scatterbrained time and time again. How many times have you seen a megaphone where it looked like the person was trying to use an owl? How many times have you heard "oh no I priced my WS at 45m instead of 450m and was too stupid/tired/high to take five seconds to check right after I set the price"? I even once saw a guy complain that he dropped his auf helm (why are you dragging it off your equip menu to unequip it? Why are you pressing Enter when you see the prompt which doesn't appear when you double-click to unequip?). This would require a good chunk of developer time for a minor convenience that saves about a minute and a bunch of clicking every... thirty minutes? I guess it depends on the map and how intense the farming is. And this only helps farmers or others who keep their equip inventories free of tradeables. I don't think it's worth it right now. Arguments in favor are pretty weak. Your finger hurts? Suck it up, buttercup. It takes about a minute of clicking to clear out a full inventory, then you get several minutes of rest when you go back to holding genesis/blizzard/meteor. Grinding will be more enjoyable? "Grinding" is holding your mage ult key for half an hour. This change affects selling, which is a different part of the experience. If you didn't know, you can move the sell window so the Sell button lines up with OK on the confirmation prompt, then all you have to do is left-click like mad to sell everything. It's not ideal and prone to accidentally selling way too much since it's faster, but you don't need to use the NPC chat key at all. It's not the change you're looking for, but it could help for now.
