    Hi everyone,

I am wondering approximately how much mesos would be required to be 'good enough' in MapleRoyals. With this I mean, how much mesos is required to purchase gear so that you can do general bossing good enough on a lvl 200 character? If I were to buy pre-scrolled gear, would it cost me 5B, 10B, 20B, maybe even more, to be good enough?
If you deem stuff like washing also required, please include this in the mesos-count as well just to get a price that covers everything.

I'm not an expert at this part of the game but I think you have to be more specific than "general bossing". It varies a lot depending on which class you're hoping to play and which bosses you want to participate in.

Lets say any class other than a Nightlord, as I've heard NL's are outliers in terms of the price of gear. With 'general bossing' I mean stuff like CWKPQ, Zakum, etc. If I were to search for a party to do a CWKPQ, what would be consider good enough to join them to not be a liabilty to the group? Or if I was to join a guild hoping to do Zakum runs, what would be good enough in terms of gear to (again) not be a liability to the group? Of course there are more examples but this is in short what I mean with 'general bossing'. :)

There's no gear requirement to be good enough for general bossing, just recruit accordingly to the strength of your group. A full party of actively attacking players will clear zak/cwkpq and the like in a reasonable time no matter your gear.

The only way you could end up being a liability is lack of knowledge, as long as you focus on learning the bosses mechanics, strengths and weaknesses, pq stages etc, in other words, as long as you will know how to execute the run properly of the specific boss/pq, there is no reason for you to not be desired.

to directly answer your question without thinking about all the other "factors", I would say about 60B for gear + washing will put you in a good spot. this doesn't include the effort to loot perf untradeables like MoN, helmet and rings/belt

Outside of time limited boss like Shao, Targa Scarga and Pink Bean (soon tm) there isn't a "hard" gear requirement. "good enough" is very subjective and varies by class.

For me, I would consider "good enough midgame gear" as getting ~2b on each attack gear (Weapon Glove Shoe Cape) + Another ~2b on other gears (Overall/Top+Bottom, Pendant, Helm, Eye, Face, Shield) - so around 10b in total. From there I would probably continue directly to perfect weapon.

I picked 2b since it's the meso cap. Getting gear above that has harsh diminishing returns and is also harder to buy - have to use coins/ws/cs in player trade, can't just buy off FM stores.

10b might seem like a lot, but I am usually able to amass that amount after a few months of solo questing/card collecting/bossing on a non-mage character.

You can obviously get by with much much less. Partying with friends who will not care about your gear helps.

It's all about the class but on my opinion i believed bucc it's the master piece for a good class who dosn't need mush gear

    • 100-105 King cent
    • 30 Str overall
    • 5-10 Str specs
    • 10+ Str earring
    • A good zak helmet (19+ str 20+ dex)
    • 6 Str roa with 1-2 dex
All this is like 5b to 6b max aprox in order to make 199k with apple & SE at level 170 easy, with probably 15 att glove, 10 att cape, 7-10 att shoes

    TLDR: Bucc all the way

Another thing to mention - party buffs.
If your class has one, especially SI and SE, you can easily guarantee a party spot regardless of gear/range.
Pure DPS class like Hero, NL, Corsair might need more investment to be "good enough" in the eyes of the lvl 200 perfect Auf NL/Shad/Bucc overlords.

If you're worried about your value, make an SE character, its the most sought after buff in the game tbh - not because it's value is any higher than say HS or SI but just because the population for SE is low. Well, when I say population is low I mean that, bowmaster/marksman actively attacking.
